Wednesday, April 2, 2008. T-minus 40hrs and counting. Hey there everyone,. I guess its high time I kick this thing off. Well, I'm Chris, and I'm fixin' to go to India. Yeehaw! This will be my final rotation of what has been an amazing four years at the UT Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio, TX (UTHSCSA). I just finished up my ACLS certification training today, so all that is left is this trip. As you can see above, I'm thinking deeply about the future. Thats all for now.

Sunday, April 6, 2008. Made it to Vellore! I am now posting from the CMC campus computer lab. I've actually only been in India 9 1/2hrs now, and am way way behind on sleep, but I did make it and so did my bags. Qatar Air rocks, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience with them, and I highly reccomend them. Not able to post pics at present, but am working on it. Will give more info, possibly with pic and/or video goodness later tonight (fingers crossed). This country is already quite entertaining.

And almost at the very bottom of India. For a good sized city, it's. Really nice and laid back. Vellore. Was ten times more crowded and dirty, and it was just a little town with no real claim to fame other than a hospital. Go by, with the breeze and traveling. Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Well, I tried to be strong. 36hrs with only a few potato chips and a flat coke, and still no luck. Cipro it is, with lots of H2O. Will go to the "supermarket" today to see if they have something like gatorade too. I'm sure you are all fascinated by this. So lets move on, shall we? We're going to a World Heritage Site town called Mamulampuran this weekend, so I think I will be spending a lot of time when I get back uploading pics (see CHAD day 1 for samples). If it is hot get air-conditioning, it costs more but it makes all the difference! There are three main hotels in town that are safe and reliable:. Aavana Inn is directly across the street from the hospital so this will save you money on rickshaws but the rooms are fairly small and you will have to share a bed.
