Cromarty

Monday, May 24, 2010. I've made it about half-way through the first half of the front.or back.(I haven't decided yet). Each odd row consists of 9 pattern changes and the line numbers don't line up, so I've made charts to get me through. It takes me about a half-hour per knit side and about 10-15 per pearl side.a lot of cabling indeed.but I love the pattern. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Sunday, February 17, 2008. The business of university. Sunday, September 2, 2007. Time flies and files and flies. Minorwho kn...

http://cromartyknit.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

Minorwho knows.so my poor beautiful knitting waits, rolled up gently with needles and instructions, safe from the sunlight.please colours, do not fade! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cromarty: Yarn and changes

http://cromartyknit.blogspot.com/2007/02/yarn-and-changes.html

Monday, February 19, 2007. I stepped away from the traditional and chose to knit with a cotton yarn. I found the yarn in an obscure little shop that I drove past 3 or 4 times before spotting a tiny little sign in the window. The yarn is 80%cotton and 20% dolan, in a lovely mossy green colour. I believe it is Italian in origin (correct me if I'm wrong) It is BBB Levis yarn. I cast on in US 3 (3.25 mm) needles, and am knitting with size 4 (3.5 mm). I am happy with the tension. The Sleeves now have to wait!

Cromarty: The business of university

http://cromartyknit.blogspot.com/2008/02/business-of-university.html

Sunday, February 17, 2008. The business of university. I've been immersed in English, Spanish and Classics (1st year University) and meanwhile, my sweater sits untouched in the corner. (think I should pack it in mothballs)! I have this short week off for Reading Week and I think I'll try to refamiliarize myself with its intricacies. I've only had 3 weeks off in August and that time was used tending to someone who was very ill, so.no knitting.ah well, one day it will be finished! The sleeve with changes.

Cromarty: Finally!

http://cromartyknit.blogspot.com/2010/05/finallly.html

Wednesday, May 19, 2010. I pulled out the wool and unrolled the sweater yesterday.so far to go. It's such a complicated pattern.five different patterns, all different lengths.it took a while but I figured out where I'd left off three years ago.back into the rhythm for now.maybe it'll be done before I retire! Cromarty: February 2007

http://cromartyknit.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 20, 2007. I am already on row 18 of the body (one day, off and on). I am stitching the pattern as follows:. I also did two rows stockinette to begin. Like I said before, it has really helped doing the sleeve first! Monday, February 19, 2007. I didn't like the way the sweater was sized so I went hunting online for other brave knitters who had crafted a Cromarty and adapted a few changes as well as adding some of my own. Just starting a Cromarty Sweater by Alice Starmore. I found some...
