Mama needs to do some stitching. Monday, June 29, 2015. I completed the 2015 Mystery Tat-A-Long from Craftree. All 9 parts. I really think you can see my improvement in my tension as each part was added. My oldest finished off Kindergarten last week. I am so very proud of how hard he worked all year! This is about where the 2 complete pages are. And I have a new start, Hen Party. This one is for my aunt. When I was young my aunt used to take her nieces for the weekend and she called it a chicken party, so when I saw this chart I knew I had to stitch it for her. Mama needs to do some stitching. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of my dying adventures from a week ago! We had such a fun day, my friend and I! We decided to have a dying playdate and we would each decide on one dying technique. I decided to do Ice Dying. Here is a great video to show you the process:. The video is kinda wonky and it starts part ways through the process but the beginning is at the end of the video. This was the second with a bit of brown added in.

Mama needs to do some stitching. Monday, August 3, 2015. My chicks have a house. I finally got my house all stitched up. When I started the house I had it in my head that it would take no time to stitch up but I guess when you count all the stitches in the house you realize that it is going to take some time. I am pretty pleased with how it is looking and I have added some beads already as the whole design fits in the Qsnap so I don't have to worry about crushing any since I won't have to move it around.

I used to feel the same way, and would do anything to avoid a French knot when charted. I have Mill Hill beads of every color, purchased as a decoy, to avoid a French knot. Monday, August 07, 2006. If you are brand new to the cross stitching world, WELCOME! This is one of the most beautiful crafts in the world, in my opinion. My mother taught me when I was about seven years old and I haven't stopped since. I have been doing this for about 20 years and love it more and more everyday.
