Our Cross-Canada Bike Trip: BRITISH COLUMBIA

http://crosscanadabiketrip.blogspot.com/2009/08/british-columbia.html

Our Cross-Canada Bike Trip. If BC wasn't where it is in Canada, it would have to be moved. You couldn't ask for a more dramatic way to start a bike trip. Even now in retrospect, BC is the main reason to want to do such a trip. Definitely wins award for most dramatic scenery in Canada. Ay 1 May 27 Vancouver to Mission 97km. We woke up early and were on the road by 7:30.Took the Lions Gate Bridge. Couldn't find a campsite so we stayed at a Best Western Hotel. Ay 2 May 28 Mission to Hope 89km. Beautiful rid...

Woman at information booth advised us to take Route 144 to Grand Falls, which we did. Stopped for breakfast after 20km. The road then followed the St. John River - nice rolling hills and nice valley. Decided to stay in Grand falls since rain had started again. Stayed at Hill Top Motel right next to the falls. Ay 67 August 1 Grand Falls to Woodstock 126km. The river...

Cross Canada 2008

Thursday, July 3, 2008. Kyle picked up the key to his apartment and we just hung out watching TV. I tried to get Brett to go to a ball game with me but he wasn't up for it. This morning we got a call from Dad to tell us that Ruth passes away. We left there and fought the heat and traffic across the Lions Gate Bridge, thru town to Kyle's apartment. We parked the trailer in the underground parking (had to stand on the back of the trailer to get it to fit under the door. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Will be happy...

Cross Canada Chorus

A few sound bytes to let you know the calibre of singing at the early stages of the chorus - from the conclusion of the Second rehearsal of just the Ontario group of about 35. This song has a great rhythmic theme and the chorus follows the interp well. This song may very well be the song of the contest - an ear-wig for sure. How appropriate - The Canadian composers - the Rankin Family gave us some great material and the chorus have emotionally jumped into this one with both feet! A look at pasy years:.
