The 2nd Grade Adventures of Room 24. Wednesday, May 1, 2013. We have new friends in room 24! Well, one of them has transformed! If you look closely, you can see the larva stage and a pupa right next to it. It starts as an egg, then it becomes a mealworm (larva). The third stage is a pupa. You can see it by the corner of the apple. If the pupa is touched, it will wiggle. Ew. Gross. Oh, and we also have a new human friend! A boy He's #25 on our class list. He's all the way from Boston! The 2nd Grade Adventures of Room 24. Thursday, September 5, 2013. The kids played their first Math games today. It was lots of fun but rather crazy. I will be asking for parent help at Back to School Night, September 10. The first graders played Monster Squeeze. They remembered from kindergarten. They made number lines and then used a counter to cover a mystery number, which their partner had to guess. Here's a close up of the number line in progress. The second graders played a game with money.

Monday, October 31, 2011. I am happy to finally share my Halloween costume! I spent part of Saturday, putting it together. I am an iPhone! I even have the Apple logo on the back! I made the entire thing out of felt. I made a basic bag type pullover, and then attached the apps with fabric glue. I used my own phone for inspiration. I even have Angry Birds! Posted by I am Julie. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Riley spent the night at the park Friday night. It was part of a big Scouting event. The Boy Scouts got to sleep in the park Friday night, and then participate in Dragon Boat Racing on Saturday morning. The Cub Scouts showed up Saturday morning for the Cub Scout Games. It was tent city Friday night-Saturday afternoon. LOTS of Boy Scout troops stayed the night at the park. Heading to the Dragon Boat with his troop and another troop. Posted by I am Julie. Sunday, October 21, 2012. Riley had a band competition in Santa Cruz yesterday, so we all went. Quinn skipped his baseball game to go, and my mom and dad went as well. There's a Monterey Bay visitor's center in Santa Cruz. It's free! They let us use their potty too! This whale tail is just outside. Fun for kids of all ages! Saturday, April 21, 2012. Over Spring Break, we went to Disneyland. The weather was kind of cruddy, but we still had fun. Here we are with Mater and Lightning McQueen. Cars Land is set to open June 15! We absolutely can't WAIT! When we arrived in Anaheim, we immediately went into DCA, and then over to the Disneyland Hotel for our dinner reservations at Goofy's Kitchen. Here are the boys and Aladdin.
