Friday, February 21, 2014. The Fourteen Day Goodbye. R for a couple of days. As weird as it was, the hospital was crawling with old friends and faces - it was like an all class reunion of some kind. And somehow they were all there - working at the hospital of course - but almost as if they were helping us say "goodbye". This was our hometown, so it made sense to see people we knew. But it was on the verge of crazy. He even had to celebrate - or celebrate as best he could - his birthday during this time.
