When you are going through something hard and wonder where God is, remember the teacher is always quiet during a test.". Touche, God. I then began to think more and more about this and came upon Genesis 22:1-3 where it talks about Abraham and Isaac. 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son. Why would God want him to do that in the first place?

Monday, July 21, 2014. This had to be added.On Addie's actual birthday (July 8), this was her "smash cake", her tutu, her crown and her darling backdrop that her talented mom whipped up for the special occasion. She was pretty pleased with all of the attention:). We had a yummy Blizzard S'mores ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Christine's first choice is never "real" cake, so she chose this. It was wonderful! And a change in desserts is always good. Addie and Christine helped each other open their gifts.

Sunday, December 7, 2014. I had a couple of great reasons to head south to Austin in late September. Brandon was in town with his girlfriend Christina and it was Dad's 72nd birthday! I drove down, had a nice birthday lunch, took a few pictures and then headed back north. It really was a great little trip! I hadn't seen Brandon since his high school graduation in 2007. Now that is sad! I loved being with Dad for his birthday as well.I think I might make this a yearly tradition. Castaway Cay, The Bahamas.
