స మ న య డ అస త ర Common Man’s Missile. Getting on your bike regularly not only gets you where you want to go faster than a car, it protects you against a wide range of ill health, and also makes you feel better. Cycling is good for your heart and health. One rough calculation suggests that new cyclists covering short distances can reduce their risk of death (mainly due to the reduction of heart disease) by as much as 22 per cent. Cycling will help with weight management. Cycling can improve your mood.

So what happened to my Beating the Bounds challenge? On: May 19, 2013. Still to go, in no particular order:. If anyone would like to ride with me this year, tweet me at @beatingbounds. Or leave a comment here and we’ll talk dates. Equally, if anyone has contacts at local cycling groups in any of the above boroughs, I’d be grateful for being put in touch in case they can suggest good routes or have their own ride I can join in with. Ride date: Sunday 1st May 2011. A full set of photos from the ride is here.

Only 4 finished it, for one reason or another, and we were all distinctly soggy by the end. It wasn’t the most fun ride I’ve been on this summer, which I think was partly due to the weather and partly due to some inconsistencies ...Great to ...

Following Downham and South Hanningfield we came to BHN Garden Centre. 46 miles, no punctures, no mud! South Hanningfield on 08/11/2015. Short H...

History of the Essex CTC Member Group | Essex CTC Member Group
http://www.essexcycling.co.uk/history.html
Essex CTC Member Group. History of the Essex CTC Member Group. It was in December 1927 that the Essex District Association (DA) of the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) was born out of the Romford section of the North Metropolitan DA. The Southend section was formed in 1928 when the Romford section was reformed under its old name. The two sections were alone for only 3 months when the Chelmsford section was created. These were the halcyon days for the DA. With the response a club was to become a CTC section a...
