Saturday, March 26, 2016. 189; loaf coarse day-old bread. 1 red onion, sliced very thin. 20 large leaves of fresh basil (1/2 cup chopped). 189; cup olive oil. Cut crusts off bread and cut into chunks. Place in a bowl and cover with water. Leave for 15 minutes. Drain and squeeze the bread dry. Tear bread into rough chunks, place in a large salad bowl. You should have at least 2 cups of bread. Add onion and mix well. Cut tomatoes into large bite sized chunks and add. Chop basil and add.
