The first lodge on the "Going-T0-The-Sun-Road was the Lake McDonald Lodge build in 1914. The building was built in 1735 as a bar and is still in use today. Enjoyed a typical southern style dinner. We are really enjoying Savanna, its history and the friendly people. We arrived at our campground just a few miles from the Little Bighorn Memorial (Custers Last Stand). When they say Montana is "Big Sky" country they are right.
