My writing blog, experiments, and lessons in writing. Wednesday, May 25, 2005. You've got to hand it old Carl. Uncle Josh Thinks about Equality - The Incomplete Blog

Theres an ology for that. Uncle Josh Thinks about Equality. Jun 26th, 2015 at 8:05 PM. Originally published at Uncle Josh Talks Too Much. You can comment here or there. Today is a great day if you care about civil rights. Today is a great day if you care about loving your neighbor as yourself (you know, as Christ commanded His followers to do). I can understand that some people are upset, but I have a hard time understanding why they’re so upset, other than reasons that are not good reasons. Today, a lar...

Theres an ology for that. In Which I Try to Build Steam. May 5th, 2015 at 9:41 PM. I have lost my momentum. Last night I ran my critique group through Jim Van Pelts Seven Sentence Story, which is always fun and Ive done in several times and tried to expand it. So, to switch up the momentum, Im going to start with prompt 8 and push forward, writing seven-sentence stories, one a day, hopefully two, maybe even three, until I get through the book. A peek into my Alternate Timelines - The Incomplete Blog
http://joshenglish.livejournal.com/246911.html
Theres an ology for that. A peek into my Alternate Timelines. Jan 20th, 2015 at 1:05 PM. It has been a long time since I looked at my original GMail account. I had to stop using it because many many people wanted it, including my brother. I think I have saved him a fate worse than bureaucracy. Here are the things I have been doing in other worlds:. As James and Julie, I am getting identical offers to buy my home. As John, I owe 2,46 to Eurolink Motorway Operation. The (in)Complete Works of Josh English.

Searching for Biblical truths one day at a time. Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Proper 7, Tuesday: Judas. God It works if you believe in atonement theology, which I don't. Where the people misunderstanding Jesus' mission and Judas couldn't rationalize following Jesus any more? Why don't I take the Gospel accounts literally? Because, like most history, they were written by the victors in the fight for the Jesus movement and Christianity. Posted by Josh English @ 2:42 PM. Thank you, and bless you, for patience.

Searching for Biblical truths one day at a time. Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Year 1, Advent 1, Tuesday. Peter writes that the apostles' story is real, not some myth 'cleverly devised' and states that he heard the voice of God on the mountain at the Transfiguation. Important lesson: "No prophecy of scriptue is a matter of one's own interpretation." I disagree. I also wonder what modern prophecy would look like. Did the ancient prophets prophecy in hindsight? Searching for Biblical truths one day at a time. Saturday, June 18, 2005. Proper 6, Saturday: Who's side are you on? The Priest's answer: "Only if he can fight.". We need to move away from the 'please conquer our enemies for us' attitude in our prayers. I keep reading that in the Psalms and it's driving me batty. It is a very human plea, very understandable, but I think religion, as a means to salvation, should elevate us beyond such pettiness. Posted by Josh English @ 12:02 PM. Friday, June 17, 2005.
