Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Merry Christmas from Uganda! I can officially announce that rainy season is over. We’ve been back from Rwanda for 4 days now and there hasn’t been a drop of rain. But even more importantly, it’s about 30 degrees! The air temperature has lost its tinge of cool and we’re sleeping with the fan that we just bought blowing on us. Friday, November 29, 2013. I have Christmas music blaring from my library window (well, blaring, everything is relative… the neighbours can’t hear it and sing along so really it’s very quiet! And the children are squealing as they arrive. I’m not sure how the teachers are going to keep them entertained for 5 hours until 1pm but judging by the amount of food the kids are bringing to share, several hours will be spent stuffing their faces. Saturday, July 28, 2012. One Door Closes and Another Opens. Since then, the centre welcomed close to 1,000 visitors each month. Primary school children came to play and read, secondary school children studied quietly in the garden, and adults used the internet cafe or used the resources to increase their knowledge.
