The weather continues to be very changeable, sunny then a rain shower, but the predominant feature has been the wind! Ian B's year cycling, running, fell walking and using his campervan: October 2014

http://www.cyclingrunningwalkingcampervans.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Ian B's year cycling, running, fell walking and using his campervan. Sunday, 26 October 2014. A working week and a celebratory weekend. With four days Bikeability last week in local schools in. My only outing midweek on Friday afternoon was a 5.37 mile. Around town; this seemed very hard after five days off! Taking me a couple of miles to feel comfortable. I was hoping to keep up a regular three times a week run, I have failed miserably this week to achieve that! Daughter was down in. Only one road safet...

Ian B's year cycling, running, fell walking and using his campervan: February 2015

http://www.cyclingrunningwalkingcampervans.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Ian B's year cycling, running, fell walking and using his campervan. Saturday, 28 February 2015. Tomorrow is the big day, the Grizzly Cub run! Only 9miles compared to the 22 miles full event. Over 2000 runners will be there. Can't find a reason not to do it? So will be on the start line at 10:30. Weather forecast is not good, changeable, rain later, but will be windy and cold, so getting the clothing right will be a challenge. Feel ok, will get round but! Got my gels and taking an isotonic drink. After a...

We have managed to spend time on the beach with Grandaughter [GD] and I have ridden an Audax of 140km [87miles]. Then began the build up to the 140k Audax from near Romsey, up to Hungerford and back the week after. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Entry for the Fjallraven competition - runner up 2013. http://www.cyclingrunningwalkingcampervans.blogspot.com/2015/08/herepath-half.html

Ian B's year cycling, running, fell walking and using his campervan. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Have entered the Herepath Half tonight - a 13 mile off road run round Neroche woods, already know some of the route. Will be a tough run, so lots of training between now and the end of October! Certainly more than the 10miles a week I am doing at present. The weather continues to be 'crap'! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Entry for the Fjallraven competition - runner up 2013. Ironman and onwards: July 2011

http://ironmantd2011.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 3, 2011. The Forestman iron-distance was always going to be a one-off for me but even so I was surprised at how much I wanted to do another one in the days post race, its a similiar feeling to coming back from holiday - you build up to it, have a great time then when it's over you want to go and do it again! However I am going to stick to my guns for the foreseeable future mainly because -. I don't want to commit that fully to another IM now. So what is next. Lands End to John O'Groats.

Ironman and onwards: November 2010

http://ironmantd2011.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 29, 2010. Considering how November started out I'm chuffed that it has been salvaged by some great sessions over the past week! Best of all was this weekend, friday morning started with a great swim - breaking my 400 pb with a 6.02 - there were still some poor turns in there so sub 6 is real possibility any time soon! Anyway Saturday was a run day - nothing really planned other than somewhere between 9 and 13 miles! I'll let you in to a secret.I love running in snow/ice and the cold!

Ironman and onwards: Starting again...

http://ironmantd2011.blogspot.com/2014/01/starting-again.html

Monday, January 6, 2014. It's all go back in my little world of exercise and it feels good to have that motivation back to be getting back out there and putting in some time. This weekend I knocked out a 55 mile ride down to Wareham and back, we wanted to do an 80 but the weather was quite ridiculous (flooded roads over the bottom bracket at times! Very amusing when we realised that Gully's new (and very sexy) carbon aero wheels had filled with water…at least it slowed him down! Changed my diet to a more...

Monday, January 20, 2014. I gather today is blue Monday, though have heard that said every Monday in January! Anyway not applying to me, having a cracker of a January! Last week I swam once and that was it…we had some norovirus in the house which didn't get me but I was cleaning up and looking after Theo until all back on their feet, then I got a cold. That and work meant didn't get much done, but never mind, had a great ride on Saturday. Some photos below: -. Sun looked awesome when it peaked out! Grizz...

Monday, February 28, 2011. February week 4 Training. Staffled again right at the last minute this week! I managed a measly 5.67 hours training this week.yes thats all, total rubbish! Monday and Tuesday I was feeling pretty rubbish through lack of sleep due to various reasons - a monster sleep on Tuesday night left me feeling good Wednesday though so a good fast run (for me) for 5.2 miles around town! Saturday - was really looking forward to a good cycle followed by a good race on sunday! Annoyingly I had...

100 KM | The Metric Century

May 4, 2013. Technically I earned this last year during Bloomsday by running a sub 48 time, but you don’t get to reap the reward until the following year. Pretty cool design this year so I’m glad I went ahead and paid for the amenties package. Training has gone well this spring after an injury setback in February. I’m excited to watch the Elites leave me in the dust and find out what running Bloomsday is like when you don’t have to navigate slower runners for the first couple miles. April 22, 2013. It&#8...
