It was a long, hard build, with the above November picture taken in a rare spell of gorgeous, dry, bright weather. From there on it it started to snow and that's the way things stayed right through to the Spring. Hardcore. Headtorches on by 4, walk out to the van by 5ish, home for 6. And all this behind five diggers!

Autumn's a good season for me, the kids go back to school - I love them dearly, but very little gets done whilst they're off (home workers). Hand and machine build. Singletrack, wide trails and funparks. Bigger can be better. So, sometimes we have to go wider, but that doesn’t mean boring. Funparks for instance benefit from being a bit wider and it opens up access for 4-wheel physically impaired bikes.
