I Have it Sorted: Squish Squash
http://ihaveitsorted.blogspot.com/2013/09/squish-squash.html
Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Welp, ALL of my squash plants are dead. I really can't believe it and frankly I'm still recovering from the shock of losing all 10 of them! I worked so hard to nurture and care for them ever since they were just tiny little squash babies. So much work, all for naught. Anyway, I learned of a new garden pest called the squash vine borer. After you remove the larvae make sure you pack the stem with dirt. The plant won't always make it if it comes to this so it is best to try...

The Things We Didn’t Know: A Look at Raising Chickens. November 24, 2013. This past year and half of raising chickens has taught us so much more than we could have possibly imagined. I originally wrote a post, but because it is something that my husband and I are both so invested in, I had him write one as well. This is his post with a section of mine incorporated. We got more chickens. We bought a 3 month old buff and another easter egger, three more black copper maran chicks. Not long after the...We we...

Our New Chicken Coop | Cypress & Myrtle
https://cypressandmyrtlefoods.com/2013/10/24/our-new-chicken-coop
Our New Chicken Coop. October 24, 2013. There are a few things that led us to build a new chicken coop…. 1 Our “chicks” (which are no longer really chicks anymore but that’s what we still call them as a way to differentiate them from the other chickens since we have a billion and one chickens now) were getting too big for their current home. 2 Dido, our broody hen, was due to hatch new chicks and they would need to go where the big chicks were. 3 I wanted to. And here is the finished product…. Brandon ju...

I Have it Sorted: May 2013
http://ihaveitsorted.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 24, 2013. My daughter turned one this past Sunday! I really can't believe an entire year has gone by since she was born, especially since I still feel like the labor pains are fresh in my mind. Hopefully one of these days I will start to forget that, yikes! I can't believe how tiny she was! I remember just being floored by how awesome God is after experiencing childbirth. It truly is a testament to our Creator. She got a pretty cool ladybug book from her uncle Will, my brother. All in all, I ...

I Have it Sorted: It's Been Awhile
http://ihaveitsorted.blogspot.com/2014/02/it-been-awhile.html
Tuesday, February 25, 2014. So I've taken a bit of a hiatus from blogging, but I have a good excuse. We are having another baby! We are due in June and are super excited! Let's start with smells. This was one of the biggest challenges for me. I have a superhuman sense of smell to begin with so pregnancy took it to a whole new level. If anyone in the house was eating anything I pretty much locked myself in my room with the windows open and got out my essential oils. I learned this time around that magnesi...

I Have it Sorted: July 2013
http://ihaveitsorted.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. I LOVE road trips but I absolutely hate the way I feel when I have to eat a bunch of junk on the road! It always tastes so good at the time but leaves me feeling like absolute poo for several days after the fact. On our most recent road trip to Ohio, I decided to pack all of our meals/snacks in order to save money and avoid eating processed junk. Here's what I packed:. Pasta and bean salad. 4 cold cooked steaks. Greens (portioned into sandwich bags). In order to save cooler space ...

Monday, August 12, 2013. The Fine Art of Exercising With a Toddler. Sometimes it's just easier to include your toddler in your workout rather than try to entertain them while you workout. Here are a few ideas I've come up with so far:. Sit-up baby toss (toss the baby as you sit up). And for cardio, a good old fashioned game of "chase". There are plenty of ways to wear yourself out with a toddler, not sure why I ever go to the gym! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 100 Days of Real Food.

I Have it Sorted: About Katie Mills
http://ihaveitsorted.blogspot.com/p/my-name-is-katie.html
Instead of describing myself to you I thought I would gather a few quotes about me from my loved ones. Here is what they came up with, all in all I think its fairly accurate:. Katie Mills is my wife.". Much like a hobbit, Katie enjoys things that grow, good food, and fine ales.". Katie Mills is happy". Seriously though, the most important part about me is that I have been given new life. Thanks for passing through! I would love to hear your input! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 100 Days of Real Food.
