Things we learned from the "homeless man" and other happenings. To make a long story short Timothy "Griff"in stayed on our couch for the better part of two weeks. " Afton was her high school's homecoming queen last fall, she was named Miss Warren Central High School, she was voted class favorite, was the captain of her swimming team this year, scored a 33 on the ACT (that's the 99th percentile), earned a full-ride scholarship to BYU for this fall, took AP classes her senior year, and is graduating with honors.". Monday, July 28, 2014. At the moment it's 10:36 pm. Why do we always do things so late at night? Spencer has to bring food from a different culture to his class tomorrow. He decided to make habichuelas con dulces (sweet bean cream) from his mission in the Dominican Republic. Our house now smells like beans! The recipe said it made 8 servings so Spencer decided to TRIPLE the recipe. People he tripled it! Wednesday, April 23, 2014. At one point they looked at me and said:. 8 year old boy: "You look really young to be a grown up". Me: "How old do you think I am". 8 year old: "um.like 20 or a teenager? Lets just say I didn't correct him :). They then told me their uncle had died last week so we had a good gospel conversation about how they will see him again and then this conversation happened. 10 year old girl: "He has a.you know.that word that is half a bad word and half a good word.". Sunday, March 30, 2014. Due to going to a free tax service (aka VITA) our taxes which should have only taken maybe an hour to do took over 4 hours. Good thing those people didn't care that Rhett ran around the room for that long. Spencer got bored and took pictures of Hope. Rhett also slipped on the ground and bit his lip open. There was lots of blood! This is the oldest active Catholic Cathedral in the U.S. Our Mormon mini van stroller, crowds of people part when they see us coming. Hope turned 3 months.

Thursday, February 19, 2015. Fat Tuesday, Nachos, and the Parade. So we went to Natchez for Fat Tuesday. Why yes down here we get Presidents' Day off and then we got Mardi Gras off as well. Monday, August 3, 2015. We did a lot during this past month. I could make several posts out of it but lets not. We went to Lowes and Home Depot a lot just to get some free toys. So for forty five minutes Hope made sure all of us knew fireworks were going off and made sure we were all looking. She also said the word "Whoa" a million and a half times. I've never laughed so hard watching fireworks. Spencer has worked really really really hard for the past 2 years! So it's hot outside! Every last bit of it!
