A Little Slice of Life. Friday, January 8, 2010. Socks, Jeans and Baby Fat. Why am I the only one without socks? Everyone else in the house has socks. What about me? I open my drawer and there is one pair of balled up socks rolling around and I'm not even sure if it's a matched set. I would blame the ravenous sock eating dryer but that would suggest that it was being selective in the socks it swallowed. I don't exactly give it that much credit. Of course I could be wrong. It sounds so much better that way.

This is our December 2004 trip to Disney World. I actually had enough pictures from this trip to put this report together. Sarah (17), Emily (15), Alex (9) and Jeffrey (4) were with us on this trip. This was the first time we stayed at Old Key West and didn't get a room near the hospitality house. I was disappointed at first but it turned out to be just fine. To this day, nothing is more exciting than arriving at Disneyland and knowing you about to have a magical day. Here are some great vintage photos of the entrance from the early years. Here's a panorama from the 50's with the sign and the monorail. Another from a similar era. This one is the from the other side of the sign. Parking was 25¢. I also just LOVE that old station wagon. Further around the curve and almost to the toll booths. I like this one because of all the vintage cars. Get out your quarter!

A Little Slice of Life. Sunday, December 28, 2008. The time between Christmas and New Years is like a week long purgatory. You are done with one year and in a holding pattern waiting for the next one to start. You are given a week to consider how you will make things better (should you choose to do so) for the coming year. All week I keep saying I will start eating properly and get back to the gym. But I keep rationalizing that I can't do anything until this stinky year is all finished and done with.

Today I thought I would share a few pictures of the beginning of the Autopia. Jeffrey was never so happy as when he was tall enough to drive. Walt Disney World 2009. Day 2 Evening The Art of Disney, The Lego Store and the T-Rex Cafe. This evening we headed to Downtown Disney where we admired the displays in The Art of Disney:. We passed a few birds near the Rainforest Cafe:. And then checked out the kids favorite store:. While we were waiting to be called for our reservation at the T-Rex Cafe, we caught a performance by a group called Nova Era.they were fantastic and I bought a collection of their CDs for Alex.
