Daily Beer Review: February 2015
http://www.dailybeerreview.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. Sky Blue Golden Ale. Perfect beer for the White/Gold or Blue/Black Dress debate? Sky Blue Golden Ale, a combination of the two, duh! I'm surprised Carolina Brewery. Didn't exploit that immediately as a part of their 20th Anniversary celebration! BTW, that dress was linen/egg shell and brown mustard color). Sky Blue (sounds like a David Copperfield/Beyonce baby name) is a German-Style Kolsch that actually won GABF Bronze in 2012! Links to this post. Sky Blue Golden Ale. Is an ...
Daily Beer Review: Top Five Beers
http://www.dailybeerreview.com/p/top-five-beers.html
Starting in January, 2010, I started making a Top Five list each month to highlight my favorites from that month. Here are the results from each of those months. I plan to do something special at the end of the year. Stay Tuned! Tarted up by Rodenbach Grand Cru. Reddened by Lagunitas Imperial Red Ale. Unbalanced by Dogfish Head World Wide Stout. Strait-jacketed by Weyerbacher Insanity. Scared by Three Floyds Dreadnaught Imperial IPA. Best Beer 2011 Winners. Moonlit by Night Stalker. Reddened by La Roja.

Daily Beer Review: Rossa
http://www.dailybeerreview.com/2012/06/rossa.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. After showing you a bunch of photos of the Collesi Brewery a few days ago, I thought I'd dig up a few more pieces of information about their beers and brewery. While my Italian is rusty, and assuming you're also in that same "no-speaky" boat, I think if you pay attention to these two videos you'll get a sense as to what they are talking about. Today I'm drinking Rossa brewed by Birra Tenute Collesi SRL. In Apecchio, Italy. This is the fourth of six varieties given to me by the ...

http://activebrewer.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Active Brewer: Get Out There and Ride! Brewing The BJCP: Categories 10 and 6. It's been a long time since I have been here. Quite a long time. at least I am on the same focus as I was the last time I wrote. The BJCP. One update about this whole thing, though. I take the Tasting Exam May 17th! I can't imagine using it all in a reasonable amount of time, so I may end up giving some away. I went with a Single Hop Belma, American Pale Ale, ( Category 10A. The brewday started out slow just because I wanted to...
Active Brewer: Get Out There & Ride!: August 2013
http://activebrewer.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Active Brewer: Get Out There and Ride! 1001 Beers: The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery. After I moved out to North Carolina, I actually made it out to The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery. I don't know why I have never got to blogging about my experience there but I had some awesome beer and toured the facility. They were talking about expanding back then so I wonder how they have moved forward with that now. Beer Number 99: The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery Milk Stout. Threw Baltic Porter high on my list of beers to brew.
Noise Water Beer: 2007 Deschutes Abyss
http://noisewaterbeer.blogspot.com/2011/11/abyss.html
Monday, November 21, 2011. This is definitely becoming the season for the Russian Imperial Stout boys and girls, and I can think of no better way to toast, or flip the bird. To (if your a summer person as is yours truly) the coming of the dark months, than with the legendary Deschutes Abyss. This has been the week of popping the aged ones, as I've dug into a Boulevard Imperial Stout that's been down for a couple of years, now this one, and a couple more lined up for the holiday weekend. The Abyss is not ...
Noise Water Beer: Nøgne Ø Imperial IPA (#500)
http://noisewaterbeer.blogspot.com/2011/12/ngne-imperial-ipa-500.html
Saturday, December 3, 2011. Nøgne Ø Imperial IPA (#500). What a cruddy day. It's rainy and cold and I just can't get up the motivation to break out the road bike, so I guess I'll have to crack open the Nogne IIPA and throw on some tunes to keep me busy until Bedlam. .I must remind myself, things could be a helluva lot worse. Mouth-feel lies on the lighter side of medium. Alcohol becomes more apparent as the beer warms, but never knocks you out. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). NoCo Beer News 083016.

Thank you for reading. Posted by Adam Nason 1 Comment. Improving the Klout algorithm. I, like many, have a love/hate relationship with Klout. The algorithm that is supposed to solve this problem has a long way to go, at least when it comes to Twitter, and as has been documented time and time again, it can be gamed quite easily. For those willing to put in the time and effort. Even without gaming, you can raise your score just be tweeting a lot. And I do mean A LOT. So what are the actions other than repl...
Noise Water Beer: Redbud Arbor Imperial Stout
http://noisewaterbeer.blogspot.com/2011/10/redbud-arbor-imperial-stout.html
Saturday, October 22, 2011. Redbud Arbor Imperial Stout. Now that I've hyped this brew beyond reproach, thus setting it up for complete failure, let us get to it. Gunmetal black in color with a proud, airy and resilient dark tan head. The froth clings in a layered pattern all around the glass. Arbor has a medium to heavy mouth-feel, and is drier than expected, but soft at the edges with no alcohol to speak of, a fact that makes me wonder if we need a little recalibration of our testing apparatus. I'm...

Beer Of The Day
Beer Of The Day. Monday, November 28, 2011. Jester King Brewery's Commercial Suicide. You know what I like less than a beer that foams out? Nothing. Not a damn thing. It ruins the beer, strips the body, and in a beer already listed as mild there;s simply no room for this sort of thing. Poured about 1/8 of an inch of beer, and several inches of foam. When that settled down, the beer was a coppery brown like a bock, with a head that would never go away. Which is usually a good thing, but not now. I'm not r...

Daily Beer Review
Sunday, March 18, 2018. The krHOPen India Pale Ale. Today I'm checking out Evans Brewing's The krHOPen India Pale Ale. A story can tell you about the krHOPen which apparently attacked sailors and divers trying to harvest underwater sea hops. Bomber bottle has terrific label art! 60% alcohol. 73 IBU. Hoppy aroma, a bit dank. Pretty bitter out of the gate. Dank, a bit astringent, some floral and citrus. Kind of dirty, one note, wasn't that good, just bitter. The end! Links to this post. Rumors have surfaced that he is considering a comeback and he has called a press conference. Well they're right. [Audible gasps heard around the room]. Will resume its snarky and biting spin on events and we plan to pick up right where we left off. Matt: No comment. This interview is over [Hastily walks away].
