Babes in Chinoland: June 2008
http://blog.thomasandcarrie.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Attachment parenting, boys, love. our life. Friday, June 20, 2008. My father made us this bed as a wedding present. isn't it beautiful? The quilt on the bed was made by my mom as a wedding present as well! I swear our bed is more comfortable now. Our home suddenly has been transformed into a more complete unit. We finally got around to placing art on the walls and finding homes for everything. We are so fortunate and blessed! The last month or so has been pretty blissful. Here are some pictures:.

Babes in Chinoland: Some days are just more tumbly than others
http://blog.thomasandcarrie.com/2012/09/some-days-are-just-more-tumbly-than.html
Attachment parenting, boys, love. our life. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Some days are just more tumbly than others. Some days I want to take Brody's big wheel and throw it in the creek and then scream at the top of my lungs. And I have to take those feelings and stuff them down deep because to actually do that would just be totally fucked up. But some days I can face all the challenges head on, and laugh in the face of helplessness, frustration and complete chaos. Caroline B. Paine. Dont wake the BABY!

Attachment parenting, boys, love. our life. Friday, December 19, 2008. Brody is approaching 5 months and already he is growing up too quickly! Last night he ate his first bite of food (avocado), which he immediately spit out, and today he enjoyed the bath for the first time. He's of course taken baths before, but never with any pleasure.always fussing and kicking.Today he laughed at the bubbles and splashed playfully. He is a bundle of fun and has no end of smiles.especially for he dad.

Babes in Chinoland: Don't wake the BABY! and other things I try not to say to my 4 year old
http://blog.thomasandcarrie.com/2012/09/dont-wake-baby-and-other-things-i-try.html
Attachment parenting, boys, love. our life. Thursday, September 6, 2012. Don't wake the BABY! And other things I try not to say to my 4 year old. One of the hardest things is to not micromanage the relationship developing between Brody, age 4 and Seba, 6 months. I am constantly walking the line between understanding what is a problem and what is my. Example: Brody is pulling the baby by his clothes; shirt tighting around neck. This is unsafe = a problem. We are blessed with a second child who is relative...

Babes in Chinoland: November 2009
http://blog.thomasandcarrie.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Attachment parenting, boys, love. our life. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Brody and his friends made hand-print turkeys today for a little toddler thanksgiving party. Brody hates to get dirty, so he was not so grateful for this project - but the cards turned out so cute! He got over it quickly after we washed and dried his hands. Frank is cooking a beautiful turkey and we caught a glimpse of some amazing pies - it will be delicious! Caroline B. Paine. A Trip to the Zoo. Caroline B. Paine.

Babes in Chinoland: August 2009
http://blog.thomasandcarrie.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Attachment parenting, boys, love. our life. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Walking and Talking - Stage one. Life is moving along so nicely. Brody is now taking lots of steps and learning more words. And some slurred sound that we are pretty sure is "Here you go" when he hands you something. Also NaNa or NaNi requesting some breastmilk. And ooooo while he puts his hand in the air = elephant. He does this when he sees an elephant or a picture of one.pretty cool, huh? A clear insult to his autonomy!
