Continent of Wild Endeavour. A science comm blog (among other things). Li Na, Australian Open 2014 women’s singles champion! She’s fabulous at her tennis and even more fabulous in her acceptance speech. Just think: she comtemplated retirement just over half a year ago after a bad run of results. Truth be I told credit it to a lot, A LOT, of heavenly grace. I sure didn’t come out it on my own strength. And Roger Federer (The GOAT aka the Greatest Of All Time). (Sidenote: Read PseudoFed’s blog. About the quarter final, it’s hilarious as always.) I’m torn. I want both of them to win. Can we do that, Aussie Open? A Letter to A Show. Fill in ...

Continent of Wild Endeavour. A science comm blog (among other things). Part of my Science Comm degree. There are many journal papers written about how useful field trips are towards cognitive and affective learning, but most have been about primary or high school students. Hence the undergraduate audience; how would this group of students who have more or less decided on what field they are best at fare in a module that may be outside their comfort zone? Will the field trips achieve a wider learning goal?
