Life, from my perspective. Monday, January 29, 2007. You could see the occasional footprint where he had sunk past his knee. I didn't know whether to think he was foolish or ambitious. I wish I would have had my camera (but I felt bad and gave it to Erik to use on his trip to NYC since his is getting repaired due after I dropped it on our bike trip). Posted by tori at 11:09 PM. Thursday, January 25, 2007. Last night I went to the Billy Talent concert with my friends Karen and Chris. I missed the band...

the observatori: November 2006
http://www.observatori.ca/2006_11_01_archive.html
Life, from my perspective. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to complete the Transrockies. It's a one week mountain bike race through the Canadian Rockies, from Fernie to Panorama, crossing the continental divide twice. Over seven days, I will ride more than 600 kilometres, including over 12,000 metres of vertical. It's one of the toughest mountain bike races on earth and it will be my first mountain bike race. I sure know how to pick them. Posted by tori at 7:07 PM.

http://jevro.blogspot.com/2013/05/velocity-2013-first-stage-race-of-season.html
Thursday, May 16, 2013. Velocity 2013 First Stage Race Of Season. Well it's been a while since last posting! Lots has been going on in life and in cycling since my last post. Our team Aerobic Power Haus folded late last year and me and the fellaz decided to race with Team Niklas for 2013. Evan Bayer, Rob Leishman and myself all moved over to Niklas. Pretty hard fought battle for only two teammates and glad to help keep bayer on the podium to finish in 2nd place overall. Time To Shine Cleaning. Bici Rodeo...

BikingBakke: October 2014
http://bikingbakke.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 October 2014. Sunday, 26 October 2014. Manitoba Grand Prix of Cyclocross. Cindy and I ate and went to bed early on Saturday, tired and she was a superfan all day who needed rest. We did the lazy thing and got room service breakfast, the went out for a nice breakfast at Cibo with Shawn, Ashley, Peter Lawrence and Ian Auld. They didn't say anything, but I could see in their eyes the "dude why"/ the slow poke here? Once in front I hope he saw that when The next rider passed both he and I, how I j...

BikingBakke: August 2014
http://bikingbakke.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 31 August 2014. Jon had us over for a barbecue. The only condition was that first we were going riding. We were told portions of this were impassable, but we had high ambitions. As it turns out, that advice probably is correct if given to the elderly, french poodles, and those lacking stamina, fortitude, and the company of good men. Horses nor dirt bikes nor Land Rovers nor men on foot could have spanned this route today. But guys with cyclocross bikes was a different story. We picnicked on sausa...

Riding Through The Pain: April 2011
http://darktranquil.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 2, 2011. Day 5: Innsbruck to Venice. The drive was really scenic as we wound in and out of tunnels through Brenner Pass As we made our way into Italy you could tell right away where we were. The trees different and there were vineyards everywhere. After dinner, we hurried back to the harbor to catch our ferry back to mainland, then we drove a short while to our hotel in Mestre. Next day we just had a fairly short drive to the city of Rome. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Riding Through The Pain: October 2010
http://darktranquil.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 10, 2010. All in all, it was weekend of great racing on great courses with some awesome weather. This would probably be my last trip up to Edmonton for the year so glad for all the good times and awesome company. Photo Credits: Ken Hurd. Saturday, October 9, 2010. Jim Horner Grand Prix. I decided to head up to Edmonton to do the next series of races as I was now pretty close to my Expert upgrade, so I figured I’d be able to do it by the end of the weekend. Sunday, October 3, 2010. The nex...

Cycling Steve: #$%!!
http://cyclingsteve.blogspot.com/2009/06/blog-post.html
Sunday, June 28, 2009. Not again. Another race, another shitty result. The Summer solstice is a two lap affair on the wonderful Sulfur Springs trails. We had some new singletrack. In a couple of places this year, great setup as usual. The weather was amazing, 18C when I got up this morning. Had a decent sleep, but I had a feeling I would be sucking wind today. A word to the wise, hanging out in a closed stadium full of dope smoking Megadeth. After struggling up (loved the new Pneuma. Pedalled, pushed up ...

Cycling Steve: July 2008
http://cyclingsteve.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2008. 24 Hours of fun. Wow, what a weekend. Congrats to those who slogged through the shit and finished. The first lap was great. I spent the morning preparing all my food and my pit area. Didn't want to bother anyone else as I had no crew. My guy was held up and couldn't make it. The weather was great, nice and sunny. I go sleep in my car for 5 or so hours. It rains again. My knee has not improved so I do not head back out. It's tough to not feel like a total failure....Thanks to all...
