May 29, 2012. Hit the ground running. There was no rest for these weary travelers after our first steps in Vietnam. As soon as we arrived at the Phoenix International Hotel in Bac Ninh, we were asked to drop our bags, get ready for training, and head straight back to the lobby ready to eat. And eat we did. Everything is served family style, and almost everything is delicious. After lunch, we hopped on our bus en route to the stadium where all of our trainings and games are held. That's my 'buddy' and roo...

December 27, 2013. I would like to contend that, while a lovely sentiment, this is not always the case. Sometimes comparison brings lots of joy. Allow me to make my case. And to digress for a moment or two…. Parenting Rule #247: Never compare your children to each other. They are uniquely beautiful little creatures. Got it. There are times, however, when comparisons are fun. Top row: Daly and Jack, day one in the hospital. Bottom row: Jack and Reese, week one, laying in my lap in my mom's backyard.

June 01, 2012. It was time to play Australia. This is a huge deal for New Zealand. It doesn't matter if it's an international volleyball match, game of chess, rock paper scissors.the Kiwis will always get fired up for any kind of competition against the Aussies. Had a good training in the morning. This was our welcome to the stadium. Our match vs Australia was the first of the tournament and would kick off the competition. Making our way to the. The nana of the team, so I guess if the grey wig fits.}.

April 09, 2012. I have not forgotten you, my beloved blog and those of you who read it. In fact, I think about you all the time. Here's a little love from Easter to tide you over until I can get my house/job/inbox to return to Normal Town. Just a bit more time and energy in those places, and I'll be able to give a lot more to this place. Thanks for sticking with me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). July 30, 2011. UghI miss those giggles and that big, sunny smile. Love you Reesie! July 29, 2011. This morning I said to Daly, 'Come here, baby girl.'. Moooom, I'm not a baby! I've been dreading that comment for three years and four months. I'm sure this was just last week. This was our first anniversary. Daly was 5 days old. July 28, 2011. Here's my mom taking video with her iPhone, while Reese is Skyping with Daly and me {we were sharing some potato chips}. That dinging sound in the background? This no...

The Hache's: Grandparent Breakfast
http://hachehousehold.blogspot.com/2011/02/grandparent-breakfast.html
Enjoying the little things. Monday, February 28, 2011. A few months ago there was a "Grandparent Breakfast" at school. I kind of forgot about it until the last minute, but Grandpa Ed was able to make it. Gabriel loved this for a couple of reasons. 1 He got to eat donuts with Grandpa for breakfast! 2 He got to go outside for morning recess (Pre-K students aren't allowed outside in the mornings) to watch Grandpa play football with the middle schoolers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cake and Ice Cream.

Enjoying the little things. Sunday, July 26, 2009. Tomorrow I am headed back to work. I am very excited about this and a bit nervous. I have spent the past 15 months at home with my kids, and although it was tough at times I am really going to miss it. Some thoughts:. I am kind of used to being home with Edward for 3 full days each week, this makes me feel a bit spoiled. Going back to work is going to be a financial savior in paying off our bills and making some progress towards larger goals. It was so a...
