On the Road to Damascus: February 2015
http://www.damascusroadsojourner.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
On the Road to Damascus. My walk with God. Monday, February 9, 2015. Do I really have to give something up for Lent? With Lent almost upon us it is time again to start thinking about what I will give up this year. But why should I have to give up anything? Why do we celebrate Lent every year? It’s all about the suffering right? It is like me buying myself a birthday gift and then giving it to my five year old son to give to me on my birthday. He is so proud of the gift he got for his daddy. Let us use th...

On the Road to Damascus. My walk with God. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Recently I found a lump at the base of my jaw. The doctor looked it over and told me that I had a tumor in my parotid gland. He wanted to biopsy it to see if it were malignant or benign. I asked what the difference was. I had the tumor removed and it was benign. I am now left with a hardly noticeable scar and a divot at the base of the jaw where the tumor was removed. Praise be to God. 8220;So when it was evening on that day, the first day.
On the Road to Damascus: August 2014

On the Road to Damascus. My walk with God. Friday, August 29, 2014. About a year after leaving the military I met a girl and we started to date. She was the first girl I truly dated and she was Catholic. Sunday obligation was important to her parents and they tried for months to get me to go with them. In the second year of our marriage she got pregnant with our first child. I vowed to raise my children Catholic and I had every intention to do so. I felt it was dishonest to raise a child in a fai...I was...

On the Road to Damascus. My walk with God. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Is it better to give or receive? For those who remember their Baltimore Catechism the memorized definition of a sacrament is;. Is an outward sign instituted by Christ to give grace.”. The current Catechism of the Catholic Church defines a sacrament as;. 8220;Efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church. By which divine life is dispensed to us.” CCC1127. Webster defines a sacrament as;. We know that there i...
On the Road to Damascus: June 2015

On the Road to Damascus. My walk with God. Thursday, June 18, 2015. What we do with our bodies we do with our spirits. One thing that always upsets me is when I see the disrespect of our Lord by those who claim to love him the most. This is especially apparent twice a year – between May and June as the weather turns warmer and again in the fall as football season ramps up. Yes, I am going to rant about clothing. Doesn’t he know I have more important things to do today? And that is where I think the probl...

THE POPE: MISSING AN ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY | Heresy and Apostasy
https://frconrad.wordpress.com/2016/03/29/the-pope-missing-an-another-opportunity
THE POPE: MISSING AN ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY. Asymp; 10 Comments. Once again the Pope has indiscriminately set about washing the feet at a Maundy Thursday service. The archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, is seen in this file washing the feet of a unidentified woman on Holy Thursday at the Buenos Aires’ Sarda maternity hospital, March 24, 2005. The credulous and the gullible, which always makes the majority are easily deceived and fall prey to erroneous teachings; as to lead astray, if possi...

On the Road to Damascus
On the Road to Damascus. My walk with God. Thursday, August 13, 2015. My mother is at the end of her life. She smoked menthols for fifty-two years and that has decimated her lungs. She has emphysema and chronic obstructed pulmonary disease (COPD). Her lungs are only functioning at around 10%. She is slowly suffocating to death. Death by suffocation is what effectively happens to a person when they are crucified. It is a slow, painful, and an extremely scary way to die. Why was my mother made to suffer?

Damascus Road Media and Culture
Damascus Road Media and Culture. A discussion of meaningful media. Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Oh My God" is a phrase I am convinced everyone will use at least once (most like more) in their life. It has really become a phrase we hear so often that we don't even think twice. The following song lyrics rally got me thinking about how I have (rightly or wrongly) used the phrase. I'm sure i use it too often casually, and not often enough in wonder/awe. Everyone says it, but why? Oh My God" - Jars of Clay.
