We try to scope out three or four projects each summer. Actually we enjoy doing them, and having them completed. We are still fixing up this home we live in. The reason we drove through the Boise National Forest and Humbolt National Forest was to get to Lake Tahoe. And the reason we wanted to get to Lake Tahoe was to volunteer in whatever way we could to help make the Tahoe 200 a reality. Candice is a long-distance runner. She's good at it, winning races of 100 miles, placing high in other races of 100 miles.

One of our goals for the summer was to replace four of our outside doors and paint all of our inside ones. First step was deciding which doors to replace. We decided that one of the outside doors looked fine and was relatively tight, one looked fine but needed repainting, and the other four were awful. Vicky also repainted all of the interior woodwork:. We've done enough this year on our nest.
