Quirky Quercus: June 2014
http://jsbe.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
You have no idea. Monday, June 23, 2014. I love summer dress sewing for little girls. Less fuss with linings and sleeves and pretty fabrics. This is a lightweight cotton with just a touch of something else that gives it a great drape. Ellie's pattern is this one. A dragonfly (see the arm angle) in a butterfly dress. It is gloriously twirly! And because I couldn't pick just one:. Fully accessorized and ready to fly. How you like them. Saturday, June 14, 2014. When Jonathan's aunt and uncle were here, the ...

Quirky Quercus: April 2015
http://jsbe.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
You have no idea. Friday, April 17, 2015. I started this some time ago and don't now remember where I was going with it. It did give me a bit of a chuckle to find it in my drafts today. We have all seen this marvelous spoof. On sleep advice, right? Send your child to their room but never let them cry alone. Spare the rod and spoil the child but spanking will give them brain damage and permanently impair their emotional health. And above all, be consistent. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Quirky Quercus: October 2014
http://jsbe.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
You have no idea. Monday, October 20, 2014. The swing from Hearthsong is big enough for all three of the kids at once and easy for them to get on independently, both of which were big concerns as we searched for suitable options. The upper cloth "cozy house" is a stretchy material that gives a lot of opportunity for reinforcing proprioceptive awareness, deep pressure and heavy work- all that just from some swimsuit material! Quirky Quercus: January 2014
http://jsbe.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
You have no idea. Thursday, January 30, 2014. Word for the Year. As I've thought about it a little more, I realized that there is another way to look at it. There could be something to focus on that transcends life events and takes the state of my heart more into account than trying to control what happens in my life. The word that came to mind as I thought about all of these things is Refresh. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Word for the Year.

Quirky Quercus: November 2014
http://jsbe.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
You have no idea. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Said, rather predictably, that he would like to be an airplane. Ellie already had a white ballet-type dress that was a good base and I figured that some cardboard, duct tape and paint would do it for Peter. In the spirit of involving them in the creation process, I cut out the crown and Ellie decorated it. Painting gold glitter onto the swan's crown. The PPE airline decorated as per request- with red glitter raindrops. Can I go fly yet, mommy?
