Life isn't about how to survive in the storm, but how to dance in the rain.". Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Advice from a Butterfly. I'm making a quilt to give as a gift, and the "theme" of the quilt is butterflies and ladybugs. After yesterday's post about Advice from a Ladybug, I decided to go looking for Advice from a Butterfly. Anyone care to guess what's going to get embroidered onto the quilt? View the t-shirt here. Dancing with Ladybugs: December 2008
http://dancingwithladybugs.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Life isn't about how to survive in the storm, but how to dance in the rain.". Wednesday, December 31, 2008. My family's holiday season began by celebrating Hanukkah with my husband's family. Being in a mixed-religion marriage poses it's share of challenges, but also it's share of wonderful opportunities. One of these is the opportunity to expose our children to different customs, traditions, beliefs and celebrations. Hanukkah. Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean Delray Beach, Florida. December 27, 2008.

Life isn't about how to survive in the storm, but how to dance in the rain.". Friday, January 16, 2009. Hero on the Hudson. All the people from the New York office that were supposed to be on my 4pm conference call yesterday were late. Once they finally started trickling on to the call, I heard the news about the US Airways plane that landed in the Hudson River. They could see the rescue efforts from their office building. It wasn't long before the headline announced that all passengers and crew were bel...
Dancing with Ladybugs: July 2008
http://dancingwithladybugs.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Life isn't about how to survive in the storm, but how to dance in the rain.". Thursday, July 31, 2008. Several years ago, my sister-in-law, Cathy, told me about an organization called Locks of Love. Twice now, she has grown out her beautiful blond hair and then cut it off and donated it. If you have long hair or if your child is ready to lose the pigtails in lieu of a more grown-up style, keep this organization in mind. What a nice thing to do, and what a difference it can make. Wednesday, July 30, 2008.

Life isn't about how to survive in the storm, but how to dance in the rain.". Tuesday, December 15, 2009. When you come to the end of all the light you know. And it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,. FAITH is knowing that one of two things shall happen:. Either you will be given something solid to stand on. Or you will be taught to fly. May you always remember to dance in the rain, and may you have plenty of ladybugs beside you! My all time favorite quote. so true! Kat's Next 5 Things.

Penny's Project: Day 17 - Fare card/Gift Card
http://pennysproject.blogspot.com/2008/09/september-17-fare-cardgift-card.html
A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Day 17 - Fare card/Gift Card. One of my favorite scenes in Stepping Into Sunlight. Is when Penny gives a Fare Card for the city bus to a stranger. You may not live in an urban area with fare cards, but a grocery store card, or a gift card for a general sort of store like Target would be another good idea. Do you know someone who could use a gift card today?
Penny's Project: Day 10 - Get Your Hands Dirty

A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Day 10 - Get Your Hands Dirty. In my pre-September warm-up posts, I shared about my daughter picking up litter in a movie theatre parking lot, and the story of the nun at a retreat who wiped up the bathroom to leave it nicer than the way she found it. But that's part of the fun. Or share some other ideas you have! Random Acts of Kindness. Oh, Rel, I'm so so...

A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Day 22 -A Small Gift. Penny's Project: Day 23 - Matchmaking
http://pennysproject.blogspot.com/2008/09/september-25-matchmaking.html
A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Day 23 - Matchmaking. Years ago, two friends and I dressed in peasant garb and sang Fiddler on the Roof songs for a show. I still love the song, "Matchmaker.". And I love to make matches. At a recent conference I met many new people, and if I learned something about the new friend that fit with someone else I already knew, I tried to help them find each other.
