Please click on the tabs for work, bio and extra features. Monday, June 29, 2015. All of my publicity paid off and the reception was very crowded. For the first hour and a half it was wall to wall people. I was losing my voice from talking so much, meeting old and new friends, explaining pieces and techniques. Beautiful arrangements gracing my home thanks to out of town relatives. Out of town relatives. Part of the crowd scene. Explaining how I did it. When we were hanging the show on Thursday they asked...

Notes from Norma: Quilted and Bound
http://notesfromnorma.blogspot.com/2015/08/quilted-and-bound.html
Please click on the tabs for work, bio and extra features. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Here are the three 12 x 12's that I showed you last week, now quilted and bound. I did a combination of straight line quilting with the walking foot and free-motion quilting in angular designs. I still have to mount them on their black background, but that will be later. I am especially liking the yellow one and think I may make a big quilt. I need to get more Dupioni silks since I am running low. View my complete profile.

Notes from Norma: Quilted!
http://notesfromnorma.blogspot.com/2015/07/quilted.html
Please click on the tabs for work, bio and extra features. Friday, July 10, 2015. These circles are in the Dupioni silk and I used both sides of the fabric, each giving a different look. I free motion quilted around the circles then did straight-line FM quilting around them. It made the circles pop and I wasn't sure if I liked the effect, but my FANE group last night and my FiberWorks group today both said that they liked it so I will keep them that way. Free motion straight line quilting. Thanks for the...

http://notesfromnorma.blogspot.com/2015/07/accepted.html
Please click on the tabs for work, bio and extra features. Thursday, July 16, 2015. 64" W x 47" H. I guess I'll have to stop calling this my Quilt National reject and start calling it my Houston accept because today I found out that it was juried into the show, "Quilts, a World of Beauty" that will be at the big IQA show at the convention center in Houston, TX this October. But all that has changed. You go to the website on a certain day (today) and see if your name is on the list. If it is, you ...A tru...
