Since she's crazy about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, we're doing a Mickey and Minnie-themed party. And since I love Pinterest, I started looking for party ideas on there awhile ago - check out my Mickey Mouse Birthday Party board. They are cute, though, don't you think? Yes to all of those things! http://mandyinminneapoland.blogspot.com/2014/10/happy-fall.html
Saturday, October 04, 2014. So, I've decided the only way I can keep this blog going is to accept the fact that the posts will be random and interspersed and there's absolutely no way I'll ever be able to keep the same timeline I was able to keep before 2 kids and a 'big girl' job. :). In the spirit of random, I'd love to give you all an update on the kiddos and share some photos from the last few months! Fynn is 19 months old! His favorite books are currently: Peek-a-Who, a Harvest book that has John De...

http://mandyinminneapoland.blogspot.com/2012/06/wine-cheese-and-chocolate-bridal-shower.html
Thursday, June 14, 2012. Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Bridal Shower. My very good friend, Kristi, is getting married over Labor Day weekend and as we are now only a few months away, it's time for the bridal showers and, eventually, the bachelorette party! The bridesmaids had decided on a wine, cheese, and chocolate tasting theme for the party - and no shower games (yay)! We found a great idea for the table layout. Here was the breakdown we came up with:. 1) Champagne and Prosecco. Gouda, goat cheese.

The poor guy's birthday is getting a little overshadowed by the big move, but we did spend some special time together on his big day. David and I were able to take the morning off, and after gifts and birthday donuts, we all headed off in the snow to the indoor slide jungle. Fynn and Mia both love. Cheese, avocados, mini blueberry bagels, bananas and apples...

Today we loaded everyone up and hit the MN Zoo, a first time for our kiddos! Fynn was fascinated by all the animals! Both are growin...

Wednesday, June 04, 2014. The spring flew by, but I managed to survive teaching biochem for the first time! I even ended up really liking it! However, it did manage to monopolize my time for the entire spring, so I obviously have not had any free time to blog. Here's a recap, in photos, of the end of our winter and our spring (Easter coming in a separate post):. Fynn became an expert climber over the winter! We had to move this desk into Mia's bedroom to try to keep him off of it. Tea for two in the play...

Mandy in Minneapoland: Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches!?!
http://mandyinminneapoland.blogspot.com/2012/02/slow-cooker-buffalo-chicken-sandwiches.html
Thursday, February 09, 2012. Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches! Found these on Pinterest. Originally from My Kitchen Apron. You literally toss frozen chicken breasts into the crock pot, dump a bottle of Frank's Red Hot sauce on top, sprinkle a bag of dried Ranch dressing mix on top of that and cook on low for the day. Shred the breasts once they're tender enough to fall apart (mine took about 8 hours on low), let them soak up the buffalo sauce and serve! And 2) would it be too much buffalo sauce?

Mandy in Minneapoland: Wine Cork Art
http://mandyinminneapoland.blogspot.com/2011/03/wine-cork-art.html
Friday, March 11, 2011. So, I stole their idea and made one of my own. We aren't however, using it as a corkboard at the moment - for now it's just a great piece of wall art for our dining room. For those of you interested in making your own, here are a few tips I learned along the way. 1) Cutting the wine corks in half requires less corks, plus allows you to see most of the cork, which is cool since most corks have designs that go all around the cork. In our collection. Up next? And then, maybe I'll get...
