August 27, 2014. August 24, 2014. Yesterday we celebrated the upcoming arrival of Baby V #5 with a special baby shower put on by my good friend Irene. The girls got to come along and helped pass out cards to all the guests for the first game. August 22, 2014. Today we picked up Henry's new glasses. After a back-to-school eye appointment last week we determined that Henry would benefit from having glasses. This is the pair he chose. In solidarity with Henry I am wearing mine this week too. Here we are.

January 31, 2015. Henry is the master of defense. January 27, 2015. Last Sunday evening Stephen and I found this house. Praise God for His provision! Happy 5th Birthday Lena! Lena turned 5 yesterday! Such a lovely young lady. We started out the morning with presents. Henry was so sweet to read Lena's new book to her right away. Max and Emmy joined in to listen. July 21, 2014. The kids got to go to Taco Bell for the first time last week. Emmy is eating her icy in style. We spent the afternoon at the Blueberry Ranch with some friends. Always fun. A tractor took us out to the fields. We ended up with lots and lots of blueberries that will hopefully last us the year. The 5th Annual Bremen Triathlon. A Varner first. On Saturday the boys competed in their first triathlon. Henry at the start. Swimming one length of the pool. Transition to biking (1.6 miles). Even Emmy...

November 24, 2014. Lena's preschool class made stone soup today. We were invited to eat it with them. Here's the opening prayer. Each of the children brought a vegetable to chop and put into the big pots. Lena brought zucchini. They also each got a turn stirring the soup. Here are the stones that made the soup taste delicious. April 24, 2015. Check out my new 'pocket purses' on Etsy. These are probably my favorite additions. at least until my next great project. But really, I'm having a blast making these purses. So, if you're looking to get rid of an old pair of pants, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands and transform them into a one-of-a-kind master piece. These are a cross between tangerines and grapefruit. They have a pleasant sweet and juicy orange flavor. And opening gifts was exciting for the little girls.

September 18, 2014. Henry and Max's business venture. September 14, 2014. Peter Elliot Varner entered this world with gusto on Wednesday, September 10th at 8:23 AM. He weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. and measured 21.5 inches long. He is already much loved by all. The kids are enthralled with their new brother. Here they are holding him for the first time at the hospital. Bev is with us for a few days and brought along this amazing and super fun quilt. Here's Peter 'playing' on it for the first time.

August 13, 2015. Lena's first day of school was a huge success! It was fun watching her discover her gifts this afternoon. Lena is officially a school girl now! First Day of School! We had an exciting morning getting the kids to their first day of school. Lena and her Zuckert ü. We made it up and around bright and early. Everyone is ready to go with plenty of time to spare!
