Tours in Northern Chile. More than 30 years of experience travelling in the Altiplano. It’s a plant in the family Leguminose, cultivated as a forage crop. It’s really aridity-resistent because it has very deep roots stretching more than 4,5 meters. It can live between 5 and 12 years. It’s native to Iran. As well as the Llama, it lives between 3.500 and 5.000 meters. The main differences between these animals are that Alpaca is shorter than Llama, with shorter neck and legs, and has a sort of forelock.
