my sparkle: How To: Rolled Fabric Flowers
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2010/02/how-to-rolled-flowers.html
Thursday, February 11, 2010. How To: Rolled Fabric Flowers. So I am jumping on the bandwagon and loving all the rolled fabric flowers I've seen here and there. We decided to make some with the girls in our church youth group, but I couldn't find a great tutorial on how to make them so I played around and this is what I came up with. Fold the strip in half and dot a little fabric glue on the end 1/2" or so. Roll the glued end a few times to get a nice tight center. Then trim off the excess fabric. This is...

my sparkle: Little Birds for Milk Magazine
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2015/03/little-birds-for-milk-magazine.html
Saturday, March 14, 2015. Little Birds for Milk Magazine. It's been a while. Is anyone still reading? I've taken a bit of a break from blogging but life has slowed down enough for the moment that I thought I'd share a bit of a fun project I worked on recently. I collaborated with style guru The House That Lars Built. And photographer Chaunté Vaughn. And made these dresses for an editorial for Milk Magazine. An amazing children's fashion magazine. Also, I've started a new website, Danielle Wilson Design.

my sparkle: Felt Ball Garland for Christmas
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2011/11/felt-ball-garland-for-christmas.html
Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Felt Ball Garland for Christmas. I meant to make a felt ball garland last Christmas. But it seems lots of other folks had the same idea, because by the time I got around to ordering my supplies, they were super back-ordered so they ended up coming after Christmas. Which is perfect because I often buy things for Holidays and don't get around to making them until the next year anyway. So here it is next year. and since I already had all the supplies, I've made it! The fibers will...

my sparkle: Spooky Silhouette
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2009/09/spooky-silhouette.html
Tuesday, September 22, 2009. While beginning to clean my craftroom/office, which is in serious need of cleaning, I came across the supplies I bought last year to make a Halloween decoration I never got around to doing. Since Avery was fast asleep, and since its almost October, I ditched cleaning and made this instead. The only downside is that the craftroom is still a big mess. Oh well. It's spookier that way. September 22, 2009 at 12:11 PM. So cute Danielle, and a cute post! Is that a black chandelier?

my sparkle: Avery's 5th Birthday
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2013/05/averys-5th-birthday.html
Wednesday, May 22, 2013. The main event in celebration of Avery's birthday this year, was a trip to Disneyland the following week. So, we kept the fanfare pretty low key on the actual day, but I never like to let a birthday pass without a little fuss. So I decorated with this hair-bow bunting featuring her cute little face, placed a giant balloon on the table, and had a strawberry shortcake family-breakfast-party before school. I got the idea from Stephanie Ford, who blogs at Simply Radiant. And just in ...

http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2014/02/hand-painted-dress-project-run-play.html
Monday, February 10, 2014. Hand Painted Dress / Project Run and Play Season 3 Reunion. 2 years ago, I was lucky to be asked to participate in a sewing competition, "Project Run and Play"- kind of an online Project Runway for children's clothing design. The girls from my season decided to do a little virtual reunion, because we like each other, and to reflect back and see how we've grown. Here's a look at some of the things we all made during the competition:. Thank you Jessica for putting this together!

my sparkle: Christmas Yarn Ornaments
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2010/10/yarn-christmas-ornaments.html
Sunday, October 3, 2010. UmI realize it's just the beginning of October, but we happen to have a baby due to arrive just 4 days before Christmas this year so I am trying. To get a little jump-start on Christmas activities. I mean.it's true that I have about 5,000 things that are probably a little more pressing than Christmas crafts, but sometimes you just need to play with yarn. Fingers crossed our fireplace is finished by then! Avery is already toting them around the house. To make, you will need: yarn ...

my sparkle: Birth stories never get old...
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2013/04/birth-stories-never-get-old.html
Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Birth stories never get old. The story of Oliver's birth is over at Freshly Picked. Today They are featuring a birth story each week and today they let me share his. I love reading birth stories, and I am so glad I recorded my thoughts and feelings about that day, but as I read over it I laugh a little thinking about Ollie reading it when he gets older. Good thing I detailed the position I pushed him out! I'm sure he'll be dying to know that someday;). April 23, 2013 at 10:10 PM.

my sparkle: How To: Ruffle Corsage Shirt
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2009/07/how-to-ruffle-corsage-shirt.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2009. How To: Ruffle Corsage Shirt. So I am in the middle of several kind of labor intensive projects and I just got the hankering for some instant gratification. know what I mean? I saw a shirt sort of like this. At JCrew the other day, but didn't want to shell out the $35 for a t-shirt. Plus I thought I could make one. Mine's a little more colorful and a little more finished. Here's how I did it. I cut out 12 little heart shapes for my shirt. I used this. Fabric, and this. After getti...

my sparkle: Onesie Tutoral (sort of)
http://mysparkle.blogspot.com/2007/11/onesie-tutoral-sort-of.html
Thursday, November 15, 2007. Onesie Tutoral (sort of). A few months ago I posted a picture of a onesie. Next you will need any scraps of fabric that strike you fancy. Just make sure you wash and press them first (oh also, wash your onesies! And pick a contrasting embroidery floss to finish your design. But really anything could work.a cookie cutter, a coloring book, or draw something. Place your shape face down on your onesie, and iron. November 15, 2007 at 3:56 PM. I was curious about how to make those ...
