Dare to unlearn.: Bath products, and how I don't use them
http://www.daretounlearn.blogspot.com/2014/03/today-dear-reader-lets-talk-about-my.html
We must dare to unlearn the things that have kept up alive for so long. Monday, March 24, 2014. Bath products, and how I don't use them. Today, dear reader, let's talk about my bath and beauty products, head to toe. More specifically, let's talk about how I don't use many. Me, today. I look clean, right? I don't wear make up unless I'm costuming. During non-costume days, I use coconut oil to moisurize my face and lips, and sometimes a nice lip balm from Lush that is made from shea butter. There are two m...
Dare to unlearn.: The garden is in!

We must dare to unlearn the things that have kept up alive for so long. Monday, May 05, 2014. The garden is in! Perhaps you, too, will be inspired.) The lime I used is a "pril" or pelletized lime, and it smells wonderful because they stick it together with molasses. Yummy. Tomorrow's forecast is "chance of showers" rather than today's "showers," so I'm hoping I'll have a few dry hours to get some beds planted. A couple short pieces of news:. Dare to unlearn.: Yards of soil
http://www.daretounlearn.blogspot.com/2014/04/friends-today-i-belatedly-announce.html
We must dare to unlearn the things that have kept up alive for so long. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Friends, today I belatedly announce the arrival of ten square yards of soil in our driveway. Yes, indeed, ten yards of top-quality, deep black, compost-smelling soil found themselves in front of our carport on Monday afternoon. Little ol' me made a discovery: soil is heavy. It's heavy in the shovel, it's heavy in the cart, and it's especially heavy in the cart when you're pushing it through mud. That's why ...

We must dare to unlearn the things that have kept up alive for so long. Wednesday, April 02, 2008. At precisely 6:00 on April 2, 2008, I made a commitment. To be precise, I created a blog. How big of a commitment this is has yet to be determined. More details to come. For now, I am satisfied with having created this blog and written something in it. April 3, 2008 at 12:29 PM. Got rabbits and chickens, eventually moved but kept the rabbits. Went to Burning Man and, partly because of that, started to think of myself as an artist.

Thursday, August 22, 2013. Baby chickens and a nest ramp. Favorite chicken has been sitting on eggs, and hatched her first chick! Now we have to figure out how to help them get down from the nest boxes. Magic baby chicken ramp. it only took them a few days to learn how to use it, too! They are super cute. in the mean time, we came down every day at dusk, picked up mama chicken and each of her fluffy babies, and put them back up in the nest box. More eggs to go! We'll see how many babies we get. The shed ...

Friday, November 29, 2013. Hand made, wool stuffed headboard. Oh, luxury of luxuries. a headboard! Last winter i hung tapestries - and even a tarp - over the walls around the bed because the walls themselves were simply mud and straw. which is not very pleasant to lean against, and sheds debris very easily as soon as it's touched. I've been trying to teach myself these past few years that comfort is an okay thing, and that rest is not despicable. so say it with me - "yes, it's great to be comfy! Those of...

Saturday, June 21, 2014. My friend and neighbor kim and i shared a booth at the quincy herb fair for the second year in a row. we had a blast, met some lovely people, and made a bit of money. i was very proud of our booth and the lovely products we were able to put out. this included some incredible, local-clay pottery made by a friend of ours. I made a lot of candles. Links to this post. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Her fleece (this half of it, anyway) even looks sheep-shaped. Links to this post. Jon built...

Thursday, June 5, 2014. Shaving horse and shearing sheep. Ramblings from a Mad Man. Monday, October 29, 2012. Academ's Fury by Jim Butcher. The second novel in the series took a bit more time to get going, but, having finished it, I can see how it all ties together.
