Waiting for my melody to emerge…. They sat on the right side. Quietly hauling water up their stems. Connie gave them to me. These wild flowers were not beautiful;. Collapsed dramatically around a blood-red interior. As if to smother an obnoxious scream. The five wild flowers for me. During her lunch time walk. On the narrow dirt path in the field. Her thank you gift to me. After I’d found her in the company bathroom where. She sat on the sink ledge with her. Head in her hands. I was her only friend.

Waiting for my melody to emerge…. I have been pondering the word. And I suddenly realized it is utterly incomprehensible. All things endless which also means there is no beginning. A glimpse at a falling star. Again, I’ve veered off course. And I’m tired of wandering. But isn’t life constant movement? A chasing after the soul. Floating above like an elusive butterfly. Changing colors without warning. Wings suddenly beating against the wind. While a piece of me stays cocooned. Behind a veil of trepidation.

Dark Lane Herd was founded in 1978 by Norman and Brenda Pittams in Gloucestershire, now located on a forty eight hectare less favoured area farm near Brecon. A closed herd of fifty breeding females accredited by Premium health scheme for BVD and Johne’s disease and full performance recording since 1984. We believe in competing with other herds at agricultural shows with much success over many years including breed champion at RASE and Royal Welsh shows. Welcome to Dark Lane Angus.
