Growing up I tried too hard to be ‘hearing’ and that was so tiring… I couldn’t handle it anymore then. When I was 14, I decided that I wanted to be ‘deaf’ as I am and lived comfortably as a deaf person for many years. Even at my darkest moment… it still didn’t bothered me being deaf.
