主营山东鲁菜， 并集住宿、娱乐为一体，曾是北京历史上著名饭庄 八大楼 之一。 街东西铺面均为城南近代通用店铺形式，设青砖壁柱、拱门、女儿墙 后院楼房为砖木混合结构，均为清末 洋式 风格。 据 燕游异闻随录 一书介绍 升平园是第一家最整洁的浴池。 在解放战争时期 1945 1949 ，浴池曾是中共北京市委地下党开展革命斗争的活动场所。 世界书局，1917年由沈知方 1882 1939 在上海创办，原为民国时期一家民营出版发行企业。 据杨世骧 重建文昌祠记 记载，工商业者入主寺庙成为管理者后，对旧有的神位与祭祀一般都予以保留 据记载，庙中 择后殿设 文昌帝君 位祀焉，礼也。 光绪顺天府志 称 羊肉胡同 今耀武胡同 有回人礼拜寺。 寺始建时代不祥，据称建于明末，而寺的山石门额刻有 清真礼拜寺 ，下款称康熙十九年 1680年 和乾隆六十年 1795年 重修，可见建筑时间不晚于清初。 今寺内规格基本完好，占地东西距离63.2米，南北距离38.9米，总占地面积为1490.32平方米。 建筑范围东西27.7米、南北37.9米，占地面积550.59平方米。 裘盛戎 1915 1971 ，名净裘桂仙之子。

从嘉靖三十二年 1553年 修城，一直到二十世纪30年代，这里一直堪称北京城最繁华地段，由于这些斜街连接两座皇都，又是繁华地段起源，因此明代开始就有人称其为 龙脉。 街道南侧曾是早年间被冠以 八大胡同 而著称的娱乐区 北侧则是以会馆、书局而知名的杨梅竹斜街。 由于元大都新城 北城 与金中都旧城 南城 之间的人货往来，多求通行方便的斜向捷径，年深日久便自发形成了若干条由西南斜向东北的街道。 大栅栏附近的四条斜街 杨梅竹、樱桃、铁树、棕树 皆为 龙脉交通车马辐辏之地。 老北京人叫 排 pāi/拍音 子胡同。 在清乾隆十五年(1750)的北京城地图上，可以清楚地看到 取灯胡同 、 炭儿胡同 、 柴儿胡同 后改为茶儿胡同 和 羊肉胡同 等，说明这一带是与百姓生活息息相关的日用、副食商品集散地。 韩家胡同，原来叫韩家潭，胡同不长，但里面有著名茶室 庆元春 ，旧称 清吟小班 ，据史料记载，康熙年间，著名戏剧家李渔 字笠翁 曾在此居住，至今保存完好。
