Dave and Brian's European Vacation. Tuesday, January 2, 2007. As I write this we are traveling in the chunnel at over 100 miles per hour on the Eurostar. The train has been exciting aside from the difficult luggage problems that we had. But we are enjoying the ride. We’re glad we decided not to fly as that experience would have taken us much longer to complete and the Eurostar station is less than a mile from our hotel. Dave and Brian's European Vacation. Saturday, December 30, 2006. Today we visited the famous Chateau de Versailles. This included a guided tour of the chateau, followed by a 'train' that we took around the grounds to see the gardens and the grand canal. The experience was magnificent as the chateau was astounding in its size, engineering and detail. The only annoying part of the day was that it was about 40 degrees, raining and th. We were very excited to see this museum, and even more excited that it was free! The millennium bridge was neat, it appears to be a suspen. We really like the area, our neighborhood, our new house and our new ward at church. There is a lot more to do here in Temple compared to Sweetwater! Has a lot of young families like us, and even does fun things, like weekly playgroups! On the way home from their house I saw probably the hugest Christmas light display I've ever seen!
