Thursday, March 18, 2010. David in Africa - First Chapter. Since I put the last posting up, I've re-arranged the blog to be in chronological order rather than the last blog first. The farm is at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. The main house has a large porch, and most of our relaxed time is spent there.

Thursday, April 24, 2014. An Amazingly Different (and shorter) Trip. Jose, a ranch cowboy and me (on Champ). I’ve been in Guatemala for a little over a couple weeks. I came to work on a ranch called Finca Esmeralda near Coatepeque in the northwest section of the country. It's a working cattle ranch that also grows bananas, some other animals and sugarcane. Riding in Lapland
Sunday, July 12, 2015. My wonderful Swedish family who cared for me and helped me get home. My time in Ammarnus and Sweden was cut short. I took a fall off Sitar in early June. I got right back on and rode back to the stable and thought that was an end of it. But a few days later it became clear there were problems. Saturday, April 24, 2010. We Finally Visit the Starlite Diner. Last night we visited one of Moscow's Starlite Diners. These are 1950s American-themed diners, complete with the retro look, waitresses in cheerleader attire, walls stocked with American pop-culture memorabilia (circa 1950s), and, thank God, American-sized portions of very American food.
