Friday, May 21, 2010. Site of The Week: IconFinder. This week's SOTW is IconFinder. The site allows users to search through thousands of icons (165,389 at the time of publishing) from its Google-like home page, and download them for free as PNG or ICO files. Turned out 322 total results, which bumped down to 213 when filtered for commercial use. On a philosophical note, a search for go. Yielded 859 results, while a search for stop. Yielded 230. However, a search for bad. Returned 81 icons, while good.

Monday, May 10, 2010. Smart Twitter and Facebook Like Box to the rescue.hopefully. In an update to Wednesday’s post, the Facebook-to-Twitter-to-website-to LinkedIn updating process hit a snag, which was actually a blessing in disguise. While I originally had the Twitter plug-in running the posts on the site, I found that Facebook’s page-to-Twitter function wasn’t working. Since the Facebook page. Facebook’s Like Box. As always, comments and suggestions are very welcome. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Another benefit is that, as we all wait for the complete monopolization of Web 2.0 by either Google or Facebook, it allows me to provide blanket updates across LinkedIn. My Facebook fan page. And my website's newsfeed section. The Facebook update goes to Twitter, then Twitter sends it to LinkedIn and the website. Quick and easy, check. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://davesliwinski.blogspot.com/2010/05/laylie-is-good-and-selfish-grammar.html

Lay" means "to put or place in a horizontal position or position of rest," while "lie" means "to be in a horizontal, recumbent, or prostrate position, as on a bed or the ground." We lay. The past parti...
