The management of single family homes can be hassle free since houses are the only real estate investment that comes complete with an on-site resident manager, called "tenant". I have managed single family homes since 1978 and have been teaching other investors how to increase income, decrease expenses and gain more time for over 15 years. Master leasing, or sandwich leasing, is the only way I know for "starters" to generate income without investing any capital into real estate.
