Mo and This Blog. Day by Day With My Adrenals. Fighting the monsters everyday of my life. Laquo; I JUST WANT TO BE OKAY. What does it feel like to have MS? March 17, 2015 by mo. Since diagnosis of secondary adrenal insufficiency in 2001, I have tried several dosing schedules and doses trying to find what will help me feel “normal”. Five days ago I changed my dosing times, starting at 6am with 10 mg HC, then 10mg at 9am, 5mg at noon, and 2.5 at 3pm. So far…. so good! On October 15, 2015 at 7:02 pm. I so h...

I was so surprised to see you at the store the other day! Pick up your prescription? Take the dog to the groomer or for a walk? Come over and watch TV and help you with your laundry? I am so so sorry, I just didn’t know. Posted in Addison's Disease. On March 18, 2015 at 12:56 am. On January 5, 2015 at 3:06 am.

Someone asked me what are my Favorite/most useful coping skills for pain, depression, and all the silly side effects that come with having chronic illness? Do I have any coping skills, or do I just roll with the flow? Accept what you have and don’t argue with God anymoreI don’t mean give upjust accept it.

Mo and This Blog. Day by Day With My Adrenals. Fighting the monsters everyday of my life. Laquo; Trying something different. Am I Old Yet? What does it feel like to have MS? March 19, 2015 by mo. Great post trying to explain how you feel with MS. Good read! Because common words, like tired, fatigued, achy, and confused don’t really convey what it’s like to have MS, please humor me on this little journey. Try to picture everything you read happening to you. What do you think? Enter your comment here.

Sick Momma: September 2013

http://sickmomma.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 10, 2013. What My Chronic Illness Feels Like. Hey, remember me? I used to post more often, but lately I feel like I don't have anything new to say that I haven't already said so my blog has languished. (See apathy below) But Duncan. Sent out a topic. For the September edition of Patients For A Moment. That inspired me to get back to this blog. In the sense that imitation is a form of flattery, I've used a similar format to Duncan's post. But here's how I feel. For today, at least.

Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Product Review: My ID Square. Sorry - I distorted the QR because I realized I didn't want my info to be public. And hopefully, I distorted enough that scanning it doesn't work! I'm complicated in so many ways. In addition to my mystery illness and my collection of assorted diagnoses, I juggle a half dozen or so doctors and an ever-changing laundry list of medications. Even my husband would have a hard time listing them out if I were unable to communicate. Contacted me last mont...

Sick Momma: New Year, Same Old Chronic Illness

http://sickmomma.blogspot.com/2014/01/new-year-same-old-chronic-illness.html

Wednesday, January 15, 2014. New Year, Same Old Chronic Illness. I recently got a new (mean! Comment on a blog post. I wrote back in December 2007, when my illness was still fairly new and extremely debilitating. Before I'd adjusted and gotten used to it, and accepted that my world had shrunk dramatically. Back when I still thought it was just a matter of time and the doctors would figure out what was wrong with me and know how to cure it. Back when I still believed that most illnesses had a cure. And ca...

Sick Momma: The Dental Hygienist From Hell

http://sickmomma.blogspot.com/2007/12/dental-hygienist-from-hell.html

Wednesday, December 5, 2007. The Dental Hygienist From Hell. I had the worst dentist visit ever in my life. Even worse than the sadistic pediatric dentist who pulled absessed molars with no novocaine or other painkillers when I was 12 or so. Although this time, it wasn't the dentist who was the problem for me. It was the hygienist. Fine and haven't been since sometime before last June. Or maybe March. I don't go into detail, but I do tell people I'm having a lousy day when I am. As I got more tired and m...

Sick Momma: Book Review: Life Disrupted by Laurie Edwards

http://sickmomma.blogspot.com/2008/08/book-review-life-disrupted-by-laurie.html

Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Book Review: Life Disrupted by Laurie Edwards. I don't normally do book reviews. The truth is, I'm a book slut - I read constantly, and I'm not all that discriminating in what I read. If it's well-written and entertains me - and especially if it helps me forget how lousy I feel - I'm happy with a book. I also don't buy books very often. I love the Multnomah County Library. Who have trouble getting to the library. I might be in a different place in my life - married (Laurie is ma...

http://sickmomma.blogspot.com/2013/04/book-review-in-kingdom-of-sick-by.html

Thursday, April 11, 2013. Book Review: In The Kingdom of the Sick by Laurie Edwards. I got a lot of comments when I carried around Laurie Edward's new book,. In the Kingdom of the Sick: A Social History of Chronic Illness In America. To my various medical appointments earlier this month. Interesting comments. So does that book explain why there are so many people with psychosomatic illnesses these days? Laurie, a longtime blogger in the chronic illness community at A Chronic Dose. As in her first book,.

Sick Momma: February 2014

http://sickmomma.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 28, 2014. This post is written in response to a call for submissions from Leslie Rott. For a new blog carnival for the Partnership for Palliative Care. Where she's currently interning. My mystery lady - do you think she knows the answer to my mystery illness? Are there any toddlers that aren't energetic? To barely being able to care for myself, seemingly overnight. That connection to the chronic illness community, which I'd never known existed, was a lifeline. There's a shared experi...

Friday, March 2, 2012. Sunday, February 26, 2012. Is anyone out there actually still keeping this thing on their radar? I guess we'll find out! So, blah, blah, blah, I stink at blogging these days. Quick update: umm, life rolls. Matt finished his MBA program last spring. I am still so proud of him, his committment to himself and our family, and his achievement. I remind myself of this when we make the loan payment each month, but the changes are worth every penny. But for now, I'm going to go clean mysel...

Day By Day with RA. Approximately one year ago I was noticing pain in my hands, wrist, shoulders, and toes. It hurt to hold my baby after 5 minutes, I was extremely tired all the time. But what Mom does not feel tired? I just tried to ignore it. Eventually the pain got the better of me, it became distracting and my exhaustion was limiting everything I did. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Here I will write about my day by day life with it. It is my venting place so be prepared! They gain up on ...

Day by Day With My Adrenals. Fighting the monsters everyday of my life. Mo and This Blog. April 1, 2017. Medications that messed me up! But the Neurologist started a whole new nightmare for me. Tuesday, 4 August 2015. Cleaning Out, Moving On. Since I had a child, a big shake - up clean needs to be split in sections, so I can do a bit every day and do the other stuff, too.
