Sunday, October 26, 2014. We're really lucky to live only a 15-20 minute drive from the beach. On gorgeous days like we've been having, it's lovely to be able to pack a picnic and head down to Caloundra with it's multitude of beaches to choose from. Yesterday was pretty windy and there were a few jellyfish around but it was still lovely. I love going to Golden Beach as it's protected by Bribie Island and is very child friendly. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Friday was the Maleny Show holiday in our area and miracle of miracles.IT DIDN'T RAIN! My sister contacted me the day before and asked if I'd like to go on a picnic with her and my nephews. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Home away from home. We are staying at my parents house at the moment as our floor is being sanded and polished. I thought we would be back in our own house by Thursday but it seems that it won't be until Friday now. I'm trying not to let it get to me as at this stage of the renovations I just want everything done so I can get on with my life again. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Renovations. almost there. Now for the fun part (for me anyway). The electricians turned up bright and early on Monday to do all the prep work for my new appliances going in later in the day. It took them a bit longer than expected as they had a few issues with our old house and old wiring. We won't even mention what the poor man under the house had to contend with! Then the cabinet makers turned up and started to put everything together like a jigsaw. Mentioned at some stage.
