Boat to Quimper: Help needed 4-5 hours in Nice. What to see?
http://boattoquimper.blogspot.com/2012/04/help-needed-4-5-hours-in-nice-what-to.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Help needed 4-5 hours in Nice. What to see? Will be anchoring in Nice on a cruise May 16. Would like to see Nice, Monaco or St. Paul de Vence? Is it easy with public transportation? What about taxi costs? To much for so little time. But open to suggestions/ideas to lessen load. Thanks. You could see round Nice easily - by walking or using local buses and trams or alternatively by using the hop on hop off bus. A taxi would save some journey time but be expensive. We are planning...

http://walkinginparis2.blogspot.com/2012/04/thank-you-experts-and-all.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Thank you experts and all. I second this post. I visited Nice last month armed with only guides (copy, paste %26amp; printed) from this forum (I didn%26#39;t even have a guide book, even the Nice map I took from my hotel upon arrival) and find that they were straight-to-point information. My holiday in Nice was stress-free and simply relaxing! Thanks to yymca6, LondonBob, NiceLife, selkieNice, Nice French Riviera, allaboutNice (who else did I miss? One night in Chamonix. Myself...

Must-Try Food: Taillevent Lunch (3 star Michelin)
http://must-tryfood.blogspot.com/2012/04/taillevent-lunch-3-star-michelin.html
Thursday, April 12, 2012. Taillevent Lunch (3 star Michelin). Just wanted to drop a quick recommendation for lunch at Taillevent. My wife and I left the kids with the sitter and did a little %26quot;couple time.%26quot;. Having eaten at many nice restaurants in NYC, SF, Napa, LA, and San Diego (home town), we were still very impressed with the food and service at Taillevent. There is a reason this place has maintained their 3 michelin stars for over 3 decades. I stand corrected. Taillevent did lose t...

http://boattoquimper.blogspot.com/2012/04/boats-trains-and-buses.html
Monday, April 23, 2012. Boats, trains and buses. In preparation for our annual pilgrimage to Nice area this coming August, I need some advice/info. 1 Not hiring a car this year for the first time (-credit crunch), is it possible to buy a bus and/or a train ticket for a pre-set number of days, e.g a week? 2 We would like to do the St. Tropez trip again this year. Back in 2005 we took a boat from the port in Nice. Approximately how much would this cost for adults and children? How much would this cost?
