Stories, thoughts, life updates, and pictures. Friday, November 09, 2007. The CBC recently aired a fairly well-done 15 minute segment describing declines in North American bird populations. Click here to go to the CBC's website and watch it. The Canadian Migration Monitoring Network (CMMN) is highlighted in the video clip. I volunteer at Ruthven Park's CMMN station, and maintain their blog. Click here to see it. Friday, November 09, 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://putitinyourheart.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Stories, thoughts, life updates, and pictures. Friday, October 26, 2007. Wildlife isn't part of the environment, is it? Apparently, the government is running an $8.7 billion surplus. Seems like a good time to freeze the Canadian Wildlife Service's budget, and cut Environment Canada's budget. The Canadian Wildlife Service has had its service budget frozen for the rest of the fiscal year, meaning all its scientific field and survey work has been halted." (CBC News). http://putitinyourheart.blogspot.com/2008/05/book-review-silence-of-songbirds.html
Stories, thoughts, life updates, and pictures. Tuesday, May 06, 2008. Book review: Silence of the Songbirds. I know this is about birds, but it really isn't boring. Read on, just for a few minutes. Ok, here goes. Some species of songbirds are declining rapidly. It is estimated (by people who know about these things, and how to estimate them) that numbers of songbirds in North America may currently only be half of what they were 40 years ago. Half! 1 Buy shade-grown coffee. 3 Pesticides in North America c...

Tuesday, April 26, 2005. We Have a Satellite. After a long wait, and years of deprivation and stagnation in the cultural, scientific and economical status in the Islamic world, things are on the brink of major change and revolution. Yesterday, (24 April 2005) was a day to remember in the history of this nation of believers and heavenly masses and holy rulers. Yesterday, the Organization of Islamic Conference declared to the world that a new satellite will be sent to orbit. God be with us. April 16 , 2005.

http://putitinyourheart.blogspot.com/2008/01/heading-west.html
Stories, thoughts, life updates, and pictures. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Things are busy for us in Ontario right now. I have more work this term than I did last term, and Amanda has been working full-time for the month of January. I guess that is part of the reason for the blog-neglect (and Scrabulous-neglect.sorry to Margaret, Sarah, Darren, and Billie.I do intend to finish those games). I ran into this article. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. I look forward to your future book reviews. :). Yeah you're righ...
