At The Farm: More House Improvements
http://benandcorinnesfarm.blogspot.com/2011/09/more-house-improvements.html
By Ben and Corinne. Links We Like and Use. Tuesday, 27 September 2011. So our house is quite old and run down. It has survived many years though, so it must be tough. Like trying to hammer the nails into the floor to sand and polish the floors. We had to use a small sledge hammer and there was a lot of swearing and bruised fingers, the wood is all very old hardwood and almost impossible in some places to hammer a nail into. The old wooden floors, sanded smooth and painted with Cabot’s water based g...

At The Farm: Half a cow
http://benandcorinnesfarm.blogspot.com/2011/09/half-cow.html
By Ben and Corinne. Links We Like and Use. Tuesday, 27 September 2011. The meat quality and taste has been great and we have all the cuts including a lot of mince and sausages. We have also been buying other meat too so we don’t have to have beef every night. 20 kgs of mince, all the rough cuts are turned into mince or sausages. Setting up our table to bag up all the meat into meal sized portions, you need a lot of plastic bags for that much meat. Roasts, we have been turning some of these into billtong.

By Ben and Corinne. Links We Like and Use. Sunday, 27 February 2011. Uluru Final - Camels and Rain storms. Here is the last of our Uluru posts. On our drive out to Kata Tjuta we finally spotted some camels. Apparently there are millions of camels (literally) living in central Australia. We had not seen any yet but really wanted to as it is exciting to see such a large wild animal and also Australia is one of the few places in the world that even has wild camels. Early morning light, suspicious camles.

At The Farm: May 2011
http://benandcorinnesfarm.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
By Ben and Corinne. Links We Like and Use. Sunday, 29 May 2011. One of the best spots we have come across in central Australia is Ormiston Gorge. Ormiston is set in the West macs and is about 150kms west of Alice. Ormiston Creek cuts through the macs and eventually joins up with the Finke River. There is an almost permanent waterhole at Ormiston and the gorge is a lot bigger than some of the other gorges and gaps in the range. Corinne surveying the first large pool at Ormiston. I have one last post before i am up to date with our pics and travels and we can start getting into the Alice pics. Panorama of the area. Click on it for a larger pic. The green, red and blue blend brilliantly. Ghost Gums. They are reall...

By Ben and Corinne. Links We Like and Use. Wednesday, 2 November 2011. Our farm and business finally have a website of their own. Today I started www.puzzlinggully.com.au. The website is currently just for our free range poultry selection, our Christmas turkeys. We expect the website to evolve and improve over the next few months/years into various other products that we will produce on farm. Have a look at the new website and maybe like it on facebook if you are impressed. Posted by Ben and Corinne.

At The Farm: March 2011
http://benandcorinnesfarm.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
By Ben and Corinne. Links We Like and Use. Saturday, 19 March 2011. Trephina Gorge 3–The Bluffs. About 1 km down the road we found the Bluffs campsite. The site is right on the same creek we had driven through (Trephina Creek) and we found a site which was about a metre from the edge of the river bed. We setup camp alone in the whole site and placed our chairs so we could watch the courting budgies in the red gums and listen to the quiet trickle of crystal clear water. Budgies, very green. Next morning w...

Ben and Corinne's Big Adventure: March 2010
http://benandcorinne.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Ben and Corinne's Big Adventure. Creatures of the Dark Peak. Whilst rambling among the peaks of the District we came across some interesting animals, some of which we have never seen before. On the higher parts of the walk we were in the Heather moorlands of the Dark Peak. Heather Moorlands are cold, bleak and treeless. They are also the perfect or only environment where Grouse. We also came across Mountain Hares. Very young rabbit - Oryctolagus cuniculus. Red Grouse Male, surrounded by Heather.

Ben and Corinne's Big Adventure: October 2009
http://benandcorinne.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Ben and Corinne's Big Adventure. We managed Gambrinus in Prague, Pilsner Urquel, Budweiser Budvar (Czech not US), Zlatarog, Bernards, Regent, Zlaty Bazant, Velt, Corgon, Staro Brno, Ottakringer, Zipher, Stiegl and Goeser. There were probably a few others too but we may have forgotten them all. Many locals could be seen having there breakfast beers at 9-10am but we made sure we waited till at least 12pm for our lunch beer. In Slovakia in the mountains we even discovered the fancy? The weather in the Tatra...
