Joseph and Cantina d’ Italia. Joseph and Cantina d’ Italia. If you read my first blog post, you know I began with Georgetown, because for years I lamented about the most famous intersection of DC seemingly the best corner for any restaurant being zapped up by a big retail chain. For that reason I wrote about Rive Gauche now Banana Republic as my first venture into the prequel world of Washington restaurants. Of course, I honored Chez Francois in that writing as well. What nerve he had (the polite term)!
