Girl With a Teacup. Reasons to eat at Bistrot Bizerca this Summer. November 15, 2013. Girl With a Teacup. Moving from Jetty street last year to Bree street (or Heritage Square) was possibly the best thing that the restaurant could have done. It’s across the road from my office and a mere km or 2 down the hill from my house. Happiness! Can we just take a moment to look at this courtyard? S menu doesn’t resemble something from a David Foster Wallace novel. It has enough options to make you feel. Will stay ...

Sustainable Restaurants - Long Table Project
http://longtableproject.com/restaurants
Longtable Project is actively identifying restaurants that have the intent or have already taken steps to move to more sustainable practices. They may be serving fresh, healthy, seasonal and local produce; supporting local wine and beer producers; actively saving resources, or engaging with ways to support their staff and the broader community. We would like to honour 24 of these restaurants with founding member status of the Long Table Project. The Pool Room at OakValley. Fresh at Paul Cluver.

Cakes, Cupcakes & Baked Goods. Dessert, Ice cream and Candies. Side Dishes and Salads. Snacks, Bars and Biscuits. Spreads, Sauces and Dips. Tips for New Vegans. What Do Vegans Eat? Some food is incredible, some bland. For coeliacs, ask to see the ingredient list on their gluten-free bread. I was given Essene bread as gluten-free twice and got very sick. Other than that, their waiters know exactly which meals/desserts are gluten-free. I highly recommend the nachos and mushroom burger! The Natural Way Cafe.

Eat well travel more. September 5, 2012. September 6, 2012. I’m dreaming of sushi. Not just any sushi though – the greatest sushi on earth, made by Japan’s national treasure Jiro Ono. An 85 year old man who makes what some say is the best sushi in Japan near a Tokyo subway station. There’s a beautiful documentary called Jiro Dreams Of Sushi all about him- a must see. Photo courtesy of Lonely Planet. See some of the most beautiful shrines in the world, like the Meiji Shrine. Try my hand at some karaoke.
