http://yearthroughthelens-michele.blogspot.com/2013/04/day-362-copperlode-dam.html
A Year Through The Lens. Monday, April 1, 2013. Day 362 – Copperlode Dam. Cairns water supply comes from Copperlode Dam located up in the Lamb Ranges just west of the CBD. A long winding road heads from suburbia through rainforest, breaking out onto the top of the mountain range. It sometimes goes by the name of Lake Morris too, after city engineer Mr F Morris who was assigned to find a suitable area for new water supply, for the city in 1935. A Year Through The Lens. Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Day 280 – Solitude. From the tranquillity of Inle Lake, peace of Kanlahgone village, serenity of temples in Bagan we find ourselves adjusting to city life again. Yangon the bustling centre of Myanmar, formerly the capital but no more. Cars take over from bikes, and groovy buses left over from colonial days take to the streets at a cracking pace. There on the street corner, a monk finds his place. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Behind the scenes: ...

http://yearthroughthelens-michele.blogspot.com/2013/02/day-322-divided.html
A Year Through The Lens. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Day 322 – Divided. Ok, I know a little fixated on the cloud build up at the moment. It just keeps building, building and then nothing. Could well be going through the troppo month again; yeah. Pushing that all aside, every day the sky builds up to a different magical dance. Gliding across the mountain range. So the rain can then dance at least somewhere. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 160; Only three days left of a Year th. Promote Your Page Too.

A Year Through The Lens. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Day 21 – Bush Dawn ANZAC DAY. ANZAC DAY DAWN 2012. Weathered hands hold an old photograph. The edges are torn; faded, creased lines cover the diminishing image. The good looking gentleman stares back in his uniform; pressed, clean, stands tall, proud, and ready. Teardrops fall, the years have passed he is no more, yet the haunting eyes, his soul still peer from the photograph. He didn’t even make it to the shore or set foot on Gallipoli. Hope everyone h...
