A Little of this, a little of that: Thank You
http://flydragon-alittleofthisalittleofthat.blogspot.com/2009/12/thank-you.html
A Little of this, a little of that. Sunday, December 20, 2009. I just wanted to let you all know that we told Mom about your comments here and at my blog, and she did receive and read your cards. (Have you all seen Jen's cards at http:/ www.muddybootdreams.com/ - wow! While Mom would not allow for services to be held for her, I don't believe she would mind at all that her blog become a memorial of sorts to her wit, wisdom, and mad skills. Far Side of Fifty. Hugs from Minnesota to all of you:). Thank you ...

A Little of this, a little of that: August 2009
http://flydragon-alittleofthisalittleofthat.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
A Little of this, a little of that. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Still Hanging In There. A few surprises hanging in here in the middle of August. The first is this Verbena. Usually by this time of year all my Verbenas are in the trash heap. Loaded with powdery mildew and totally wilted. But. looking good. How about this Lantana. Still full and healthy. How about these window boxes. Still going like gangbusters. And last. how about the view from my favorite sitting place. Oh, and one more thing.

A Little of this, a little of that: December 2008
http://flydragon-alittleofthisalittleofthat.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
A Little of this, a little of that. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb". I know that little saying is usually used for the month of March, but I figured it should be good for other times as well. So this time I’m applying it for the whole year of 2008. So what the heck happened? Where’s the mild temperatures, the sun, the peaceful end to the old year? I’ll tell you what happened! And so ends 2008. In like a lion, out like a lion. Maybe we should change that original saying just...

A Little of this, a little of that: January 2009
http://flydragon-alittleofthisalittleofthat.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A Little of this, a little of that. Saturday, January 31, 2009. No not that spring, and from the looks of it that won’t be happening for quite some time yet. Yes that’s my super duper snow gauge aka yardstick stuck in there. There was a time when stores appreciated your business and would give away handy dandy freebies like that. Those days are long gone, at least around here. And that ancient snow gauge shows that there is 18” of snow in my backyard. Arrrgh! Monday, January 26, 2009. Older, a lot? And i...
Cassoulet Café: January 2009
http://cassouletcafe.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 23, 2009. You told me, because they told you. You warned me, like they warned you. You did your best, unlike the rest. You used your talent, to release your stress. You drew your freedom, you drew your soul. You drew your dreams, for all to hold. Until you could take them back for good. You painted the world you knew you'd have. The one you left. The one you had. You slowly made your tiny hole. Into a home, instead of hell. You brought it to us with your eyes and hand. Part of it, have we?

Cassoulet Café: My Greek Hair-itage
http://cassouletcafe.blogspot.com/2008/05/my-greek-hair-itage.html
Tuesday, May 6, 2008. If you follow La Belette Rouge's. Blog, you'll have read yesterday about her Greek friend Nicky, who made her feel inferior because, and let me quote here,. Let's start with the leg hair. From the age of, oh say three, Greek girls start sprouting long black hair that is longer and blacker than any hair I've ever seen. Ok, so maybe you can't braid it, but you sure can see it from across the classroom if you've not put on ankle length pants and knee high socks! Legs in the 6th grade!
Cassoulet Café: December 2008
http://cassouletcafe.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 11, 2008. I Receive the Craptastic Mom Award. To bring the kids with me. We got a cart that looked exactly like this (but red). The back of her head into the floor. It made a sickening sound that keeps echoing in my mind even two days later. I screamed, "Oh my God! I was floored. Yes, I know that she was just trying to be nice and helpful, but to a toddler who has just had a painful, scary experience (who already prefers mom over anyone when she's. You know what she had the gall to say?

And other crafty bits and bobs. Ramblings in the Lake District. Well, let’s not have every rare blogpost open with a ‘sorry I’ve not been here for ages’, because whilst I am sorry that I’ve neglected writing stuff here and reading all the excellent blogs that I like to read, the endless cycle of time off - apology catch-up post - more time off - less exciting apology catch-up post does not sound like fun! Although hopefully more regular posting will resume shortly. So, the Lake District. Totally gorg...
