Debbie Prescott's Blog. My PhD journey, and adventures along the way…. There, but not there…. Snippits that start to join together →. Well, that was fun :-). May 4, 2010. Technology is great when 1. it works (which it did woo hoo) and 2. its appropriate for the situation and fits the purpose (I’m not sure how appropriate it was that I “lurked” at the back but it was the only way I could be there, so it fit the purpose ;-). This entry was posted in Conference. There, but not there…. Well, that was fun :-).

Debbie Prescott's Blog. My PhD journey, and adventures along the way…. Well, that was fun :-). Snippits that start to join together. May 7, 2010. I read a piece on a RSS feed from the JISC conference. This year where Professor Bill Dutton, director of the Oxford Internet Institute, said that “There was also consensus from over two thirds of the audience that networked individuals and not institutions will drive innovation in the future”. Also a piece from Internet Time Alliance. Well, that was fun :-).

Debbie Prescott's Blog. My PhD journey, and adventures along the way…. Well, that was fun :-) →. There, but not there…. May 3, 2010. For the first time, I’ve used electronic tools to really try to follow a conference I would have loved to have been at but for various reasons couldn’t make. Twitter, Facebook and Skype have come to my rescue. It’s not as good as being there and having more full social engagement (and cake) with my PhD buddies but beggars can’t be choosers! Well, that was fun :-) →. Notify ...

http://networkedlearner.blogspot.com/2010/04/teachers-views-of-assessment-in-he.html
Onsdag 21 april 2010. Teachers’ views of assessment in HE. Studies into the teachers’ views of assessment in HE is a very complex issue. Just another WordPress.com site. Newer posts →. The Gremlins Strike Back (or so they think). July 1, 2012. My last post, when read back could seem to some readers (especially those who are prone to perching in the shoulder of unsuspecting students) to be rather smug … And, oh wow, have I been made to regret the glee with which I wrote of my previous energetic disposal of the dreaded PhD Gremlin! They got me back. Both last weekend and this. Horrors! Those gremlins had better get their skates on …. Some y...

Just another WordPress.com site. The Gremlins Strike Back (or so they think) →. June 9, 2012. Some years ago, our PhD learning community (specifically Debbie) identified the species now known as the PhD Gremlin. These are unpleasant and disruptive beasties who will pounce unannounced on the unsuspecting PhD student, taking one of many different forms and turning up when least expected. Feeling so very fortunate. See you later gremlins! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. June 9, 2012 at 4:07 pm.
