Feb 2, 2015. What Are You Reading? Is hosted each week by Sheila of the blog Book Journey. Yes, I know I fell silent for the week this week, but it's been more or less a bust as far as finishing any books; something I thought might happen last week when I started reading Dragonfly in Amber. http://allbookedup-elena.blogspot.com/2015/01/book-rambling-what-makes-successful.html
Formerly primarily a book review blog, now a more general one. Posts on whatever calls my interest. There will, however still be some book reviews. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Book Rambling: What Makes A Successful Book Adaptation? Inspired by watching the third of the Hobbit movies on Wednesday, I started trying to figure out what, at least in my mind, makes for a good adaptation of a book into a movie or TV show. For an example. I've only read the book. Of Snow Flower And The Secret Fan. Was another ad...

Yes, I Still Get Rejections - Jim C. Hines
http://jimhines.livejournal.com/880423.html
It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, a goblin rang out. Yes, I Still Get Rejections. Mar 28th, 2017 at 5:12 PM. Rejections are part of the job. They don’t suddenly stop when you become more successful. They’re less frequent, yes. Much less frequent, and my own mental well being is unspeakably grateful for that. But with the possible exception of folks like Rowling and King, we all risk rejection when we write. And they were right to do so. I have another project my agent has been shopping around....

Thoughts on books, writing, life. Oct 24th, 2012 at 11:29 AM. Time for a booklist update. Last time I posted the list, I was up to 42 books. Now Im at 60, so the whole 52 books/year challenge is obviously over. You can tell where I was in thesis crunch mode because there are about five romances that I found in the free section of the kobo store all in a row. Several of them were pretty bad, but hey, that was what I needed after working stupidly long hours on my thesis. Sick Sad Little World - Incubus.

Fiction reveals truths that reality obscures. Mar 3rd, 2015 at 7:20 PM. Okay, let's list the good stuff:. New house- good. Maybe let's stay here a moment on this thread. Ironically, I finally started thinking of that Caer as "home" just a couple of weeks before the house killed Morguhn. And, yes, that is how I think of it. Is the reality that Morguhn's tendency to take some shortcuts are what killed him? Probably. I still blame the house. The house I didn't want. Sue me. So why am I in such a pissy mood.
